Fitbit Update 5/25/2017

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback. I can assure you the comments have been and continued to be reviewed and shared with our iOS team.

As a reminder, I'm including our help article on the Fitbit app here.

Overwhelmingly, recent posts share the sentiment of no longer being able to revert back to the original dashboard and not having the option to choose. At this time there are no plans to revert access to the old Dashboard, but we always appreciate feedback on how to improve our app.

As a reminder, Please remember to keep your posts respectful and on-topic, per our Community Guidelines. This thread will be better for everyone as a constructive conversation.

Fitbit Update 8/17/2016

Beginning with version 2.26 of the Fitbit app for iOS, the new Fitbit app dashboard with an updated look is now fully implemented. You can no longer return to the old design. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we appreciate all of the feedback we receive from our customers.

You can find information about the new app dashboard and how to start using it by clicking here.

Fitbit Update 5/25/2016

I'm very pleased to announce that iOS users who have updated to version 2.23 of the Fitbit iOS App are now able to opt-in to use a preview of a new design of the Fitbit iOS dashboard!

One of my favorite features for this new dashboard preview is the quick log button in the bottom-center of the iOS App. This feature allows users to quickly: track an exercise, log food, log sleep, log water, send a friend request, scan a food barcode (if you are using the US food database), log their weight, or set an alarm.

Users can opt-in to use the new iOS dashboard design by:

1. Updating to version 2.23 of the Fitbit iOS App, click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store.

2. Click the Account button in the bottom right-hand corner.

3. Scroll down and click the Advanced Settings button.

4. Toggle the Preview New Dashboard button at the top of the page on.

When is Fitbit going to get the message? We DO NOT LIKE THE NEW DASHBOARD!
Best Answer
Funny but I'm getting used to it. I love my Fitbit so much that when I really lost it a few weeks ago I bought a new One the same day.

In the new dashboard - iOS - I can't see any 'ride' data from Strava. Why's that?

Has the old dashboard been completely removed as an option now? I'm not able to retrieve it under "settings "--the new dashboard is AWFUL and will make me look for another brand of tracker. Bring back the old dashboard as an option!
Best Answer

I don't like the new dashboard!!! I want the old one Back!!!!  We should be given the choice if two exist.

In reply to the sleep tiles, yes it shows my sleep and my hourly steps but for that day. When I go back previous days it's stays as today's showings. As in the old dashboard when you flicked through the previous days it would show you how much sleep you've had for that day and so on well this one isn't showing it.

I don't want to have to keep clicking right into it to see my detail look at sleep or hourly steps I just want to see it plain and clear!

As all new things we will get used to it but this is very frustrating when simple things have been taken away
Best Answer
Sleep tile does not show previous day's sleep when you scroll back in time. It continues to show current day's sleep... Which of course is useless info. I scrolled back to a previous day to see that previous day's stats. Why would you show me a mix of previous and today's?
Best Answer
You've missed the point. Nobody is saying there isn't a sleep tile, we are saying it doesn't change when you scroll back to previous dates. It always shows the current day's data. Which is absurd. The reason someone would scroll back to a previous day is because they want to see that previous day's info. Scroll back to last Tuesday and it will still show you today's sleep? What sense does that make??

What an atrocious thing to wake up to.

Well this just plain sucks. Apparently I don't matter as a customer. Have brought in several people to Fitbit but cannot advise anyone to do business with a company like this that insists on ignoring several of their customers. I was too late disabling auto update so am now stuck with a dashboard with less overview and tiles that are stuck on the current day. Very disappointed with you Fitbit 😞
Best Answer
Lucky for me-I keep auto updates off, so I still have the ability to use the old dashboard--I won't be updating my Fitbit app any time soon! Is there a valid reason that Fitbit is removing the old dashboard as an option? Very frustrating to be a customer and feel so ignored!

I could learn to live with the new dashboard *if* alll the tiles would update when looking at a previous days data--when I'm looking at yesterday's stats, I want to see yesterday's sleep info and yesterday's excersise stats--NOT today's data!

I highly doubt (which is unfortunate) that Fitbit will reverse their decision, and re-enstate the "list view" dashboard.  Afterall, they have their application developers and design teams pride/feelings to consider!   I'm not asking to do away with the tile view as they did with the list view, but good grief - give us the option to choose between the two views!

Somewhere along the line, Fitbit as a company will have to swallow their pride - and start listening to their customers.  Let's just hope that they realize this, before they lose any more market share and become irrelevant in the fitness tracker market.

This is strike #2 against Fitbit.

Strike #1:  Continued refusal to integrate with Apple Healthkit.    The NUMBER 1 requested feature continues to be ignored.

At the risk of hijacking the tgread, I'll move the posts of need be, i have one comment about Apple Health.. Fitbit does not initiate a connection with third party apps, they do however provide all the tools for a third party access, and even modify. Fitbit users data.

This means that if apple would like to link up with Fitbit there is nothing stopping them.

Hello everyone! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about the new Dashboard. On this post from @RobertoME you can view that the functions on the Dashboard are the same, he provided a great explanation on how to view your information.

I'm really sorry I could not do anything for you about this change, but if you have more questions let me know.

Catch you later! 😉
