Ferdin,

In my first message I attached a screen shot from the iPhone Settings -> Notifications -> Fitbit and the "Show History" is no longer an option (at least on 12.0 and 12.0.1)

I think I missed that. Thanks a lot for clarifying @slingshot202. And you're right, this option seems to be no longer available. I've noticed a few other users having similar issues. I'll do some research and see if there's anything going on with this. If I have any update, I'll be sure to let you know!

Hope this gets resolved soon. Not being able to sync my Charge 3 is annoying to no end. Thanks.

My Alta HR just recently stopped showing text messages or who from.  It still vibrates.  I get notification when the iPhone rings but not text messages.  I’ve tried everything.  Is it possible the latest IOS 12

Fitbit needs to fix its software I keep having to pair multiple times a day. Basically every time the Fitbit gets out of range from my phone it needs to pair again often meaning i have to have the phone ‘forget’ the Ionic and then go through the process of connecting and then pairing. This is unacceptable

I have literally tried every single freakin thing on the planet to get it to show notifications and nothing has worked. Highly irritated I bought this and have another on the way for my mom when I know realize how the product is a hot mess and should work like it is advertised and doesn't. Fitbit shouldn't make new stuff when they can't even get the current stuff to work properly. I have an Iphone 7 current on its update and the alta on its current update. I have done everything offered in forum, google and youtube. Nothing works. The show in history that everyone has previously said to do is no longer available so I can't do that either. Someone help!

Hi there @Scooteroop, great to see you in the Community Forums. Welcome aboard! 😄

I'm very sorry about this situation. This is indeed something that came up with the latest iOS 12 update and our team is aware of it and investigating to get a solution for it soon. In the meantime, I can recommend turning your Bluetooth off and then back on and see if there's any improvement.

I'm merging your post to the main thread about this, so if you need anything else, you can @ me and I'll be happy to help you out!

Thanks for your patience while we get you all guys back on track! 🙂

Regarding the Charge 3, absolutely nothing is working with trying to updating my Fitbit. I’ve removed the device, I’ve shut off and turned in Bluetooth, everything people have tried. My phone can’t even find Fitbit when I turn Bluetooth back on. I’ve only had the charge 3 for 2 weeks. What gives??

Hi there @90ViVi90. Welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems getting your notifications on your Alta and thanks a lot for all the things you've tried to get this to work.

I'd like to let you know that this is a known issue that happened after the iOS 12 release and our team is aware of it and working to get it resolved, so I'd appreciate your patience while this gets resolved. Now, on the other hand, when you say that you can't get old info to update, does this mean that your tracker is not syncing your information to the dashboard? If you could clarify this, I'll be happy to offer more help.

I'm moving your post to the iOS board on the main thread of this issue for categorization purposes. If you have more questions, let me know!

I actually was able to get it to work myself. Nothing of the old info is what had worked is what i meant. Show in history is now obsolete when your phone is on iOS 12 and and so is restrictions in settings as well. I went into the new thing we have on our phones under settings and then screen time - always allowed at all times and added Fitbit to that list. Restarted my phone and it worked. This was after I had done all the steps to restart my Fitbit, forget from Bluetooth, restart my phone and then re-add everything and so forth but this is the only thing that actually worked. Hopefully it helps someone else.

I have solved it!!! If you go into screen time in settings and click, Content and Privacy Restrictions, and at the bottom of the page click, Background app Activities, then click, Allow, then double tap the home button and remove the Fitbit app and reopen it, you will receive text messages. This helped my Alta receive texts and I hope this helps.

When is this going to be fix??? I don’t get notifications for texts and reminders. My Apple Phone has had two updates since it stop working. I shouldn’t have to pay $200 for a watch that doesn’t do everything it says it can do just because I do updates on my phone like you are suppose to.

Same problem. I really depend on the notifications as I keep my phone on silent. Today I missed several important calls and texts.
