Not Receiving Text Message Notifications

I know that users are struggling with receiving notifications after the last iphone update. I am still missing out on text message notifications after updating my iphone, and following every piece of advice on the Fitbit recommendations page. HELP! 🙂

I’m having this issue too and I’m ready to switch to an Apple Watch if this is not resolved soon.  I too have done everything as far as trouble shooting goes....help!!!

I’m sorry your both experiencing notifications issues at this time. Fitbit is aware of this issue and hopefully there will be a fix soon. I am not getting text message notifications either, however I am receiving all other notifications to my FitBit Ionic.

I got my text notifications back!  I have no idea if it’s something I did or what but I think it’s because it was within hours of being replaced by an Apple Watch....I’m glad it works now because I’m not sure I want to give up the battery life the Versa gives vs what the Apple Watch gives

Ok so I figured out today that if I put my message settings in my phone to show preview I can get text notifications on my Fitbit ....but I don’t want to have this setting like this...every time I get a text to my phone it shows the content of the text for anyone looking at my phone to read.  Problem not solved

As I mentioned before I’m sorry your experiencing notifications issues at this time. Fitbit is aware of this issue and hopefully there will be a fix soon. Please look though that thread for the latest updates, tips and possible workarounds. As you have learned that yes the previews will show but the Fitbit Team is indeed working on it. Most people do not even have notifications in any capacity so I’m happy to see you at least have some notifications although I understand your not happy with the previews showing. I’m sorry but I just can’t help any further. Please continue with the link above for all other concerns with notifications. Good luck to you.

Does anyone have updates on the ios issues that soo many people are experiencing? It is ridiculous that FitBit has been aware of these issues for the better part of a month and we are all still waiting around for the updates to fix the problems. I am still not receiving text message notifications to my FitBit Ionic despite having followed all of the troubleshooting steps recommended on the website.

No, I am still not getting text notifications. I have tried every troubleshoot option several times every few days. I completely agree that the appropriate time to fix this has passed. I bought the Versa over other Smart Watches because of the appeal of text notifications. I am very tempted to switch to Apple Watch.
