Readiness data gone and no longer logging

When I installed the recent update I opened the app and got a message saying that improvements had been made to the readiness score, making it more accurate and it will be available it non-premium members (I have premium). However, my readiness no longer shows and all previous data has gone. It just says “calibrating” and “wear your Fitbit for 7 more nights”. But it’s been saying that for nearly a week.
I’ve logged out, back in. Rebooted phone. Deleted and reinstalled the app. I’ve completely removed my device, reset it and re-added it. Nothing has fixed it.

Anyone else had this?

I do seem to consistently me getting a score most days now.  But it seems faulty.  It’s always showing “low” despite all the metrics it’s supposed to be based on being good.  The algorithm is definitely faulty.  And my historic data is all still missing.

Very disappointed with this change.  Was there any testing of it at all?  It sure doesn’t seem like it!

Hi Juan,

No readiness score AGAIN today. So that’s twice this week for no reason at all there are missing scores. And still no historical data restored either.
Can anyone in the organisation please explain to the community what is going on with this latest update. It is appalling the lack of communication and rectification steps being taken here. You will have no users left if you keep this up. Why is this latest update so flaky????? Why is it not being fixed???? Why is there no. communication from you or anyone????
PLEASE RESPOND WITH SOMETHING MEANINGFUL !!!

yes at least some thing. I’m a premium member with a charge six I keep it charged clean where the way I’m supposed to everything’s updated my phone’s updated. I’ve done everything but stand on my head. It’s messed up my sleep three times I got a redness score for two days after a week and now I didn’t even get a read score this morning. I even went on Twitter. I hope they get it fixed soon. Nobody’s gonna buy a pixel if they can’t even run a small Fitbit I love the Fitbit, but if only if it works, there seems to be a problem after problem and you do all the suggestions and it’s still problem like this morning. The reason I am a premium member is for the sleep scores. I need the heart rate scores I’m not using it as a medical device, but it is giving me an idea of where I am at how many steps, etc. etc. all my redness scores are still gone after a week. I finally got a couple but then this morning, no sleep again and no ready in the score again I charged it last night and made sure it was spotless. I made sure my arm was spotless. I made sure I was wearing it exactly the way I was supposed to. I’ve had a Fitbit for several years. Hope they get it fixed soon very very soon. I’m sure sorry for everybody’s problems. Seems like it would be a easy fix since they thought of the update to begin with which I wouldn’t mind if it worked and hadn’t wiped out all my scores it doesn’t give me any scores, etc. etc. is getting old well everybody good luck

Hi everyone,

So today when I go back to each day of readiness, the days with missing scores miraculously appeared AND there are historical data scores!!!! No app update was done, just a ton of data now there. So that’s a huge step forward. The downside is that we are having to stumble across all of this ourselves with no communication at all from Fitbit. Improvements required there.

What is still missing is the “Build Cardio Fitness” Focus tile group which is supposed to be showing under Set Your Focus. Would be great if this could be resolved’

And the See Trends link in the Readiness pages doesn’t work but you can see these trends via Health Metrics.

My historical readiness data has now returned. So readiness is working as normal for me now.
Hope everyone gets theirs sorted soon.

My readiness score has disappeared again after coming back for 2 days

Very very disappointing been with fitbit for almost 10 years and now very disappointed will persist until the end of my 6 months premium trail after buying a new product then probably decide to go elsewhere as seems a mobile app only desktop gone.

This is still a problem for me after reinstalling, updating etc.  It helped for 24 hrs then stopped working again.  Not happy!

Hi everyone,

I spoke too soon. No readiness score on Sun, I got a score on Mon and no score again today (Tue). I’ve lost confidence again that it’s “fixed”. Why no score? All the data is there and I’ve worn it as per instructions. It’s a useless feature if it isn’t providing a consistent score.

Maybe it’s time to rethink Fitbit since Google has taken over. I may go
back to Polar 🤨

Hi Juan,

I’ve had three days of missing scores in 4 days now. Can you PLEASE provide an update on the resolution of this issue!? Are the team still working on this?? History is there but the daily calculation is VERY flaky. 1 out of 4 days is NOT good enough. Without any feedback from you, we have absolutely no idea whether the team are still working on this issue or not. Please provide some sort of meaningful update to us so we know whether this is ever going to actually work or not. If Fitbit think it’s working, then I can tell you that it most definitely isn’t.

Not only is data missing, but all of the scores that are there have changed.

I can see my scores back to 9/26, and then everything else is gone. And the scores that ARE there are completely different than what they were.

So now the previous days activity has nothing at all to do with how ready you are? That makes no sense at all.

Same issue , no longer receiving a readiness score despite wearing my charge 6 ALL the time. I’m not getting any calibrating message, in fact no message except wear it at night. This feature has just switched off and the update didn’t help.
why not revert to the old version and reintroduce it once the programmers have worked out what they’ve done wrong?

Hi Juan,

can you please provide us with an update???
This has been my week so far. (Screenshot below) Quite clearly there is STILL a problem. How long do we have to wait for this to be fixed?!  What is the whole point of it if it doesn’t work!!!???

Hi everybody ! Thank you for your comments and screenshots. I've informed our team that the solution on the last update didn't solve the issue.
Our team will review the changes and work on a solution for this.

Your comments, feedback and pictures will help them a lot.

Hi Juan,

can you tell us why the team can’t roll back to the old version of readiness while they fix the new readiness version so we have a working product ? At the moment the feature is useless whereas the previous readiness score was working and much more useful. This is what any other company would do - roll back their software to the last working version so why can’t Fitbit do this?

unless the last firmware  update has had unintended consequences (ie inadequate testing)

me i have had 2 days of readiness scores not enough to be part of my fitness/recovery decision making as low confidence it is now fixed

will stick with polar training/recovery status for time being as i have reverted to previous approach of using cronometer for nutrition monitoring and linked all sensors to this platform. I see google is also phasing ot Google Fit which was showing a lot of promise on the AI  well being front.

Thought fitbit with its increased sensors/readiness score/food recording/autoexercise would provide a sound single platform  basis for my well being maintenance/decision making ( I am over 70) in years ahead. So at the moment cronometer may win my annual subscription business as opposed to fitbit premium.

For any who think I am anti google well think again I use their domain hosting and colab both  excellent platforms that work extremely well
