Since upgrading my phone to iOS 13.1.2, I am getting too MANY notifications, particularly from iCal - as an example, I have an event on Friday at 9 AM - starting yesterday I have gotten at least 6 notifications reminding me of this event. Seriously?
In addition, today I made a phone call on my iPhone and I got an “active call” notification on my Charge 3.
I simply cannot find in the Fitbit app on my phone where I can fix all of this.

Hi @lizlaurel. I'm glad to see you around the Community Forums.
Thanks for letting me know about this situation, as well for working on this prior posting. I understand how you may be feeling about receiving many notifications and let me help you out. As you may know every notification or reminder that goes to your phone will be received on your Charge 3. For this reason, I'd suggest to go to the calendar app, check your event and verify the amount of alerts and repetitions set for that specific event. Once that is done, please try the following:
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
I'm not convinced this is fixed. I've done everything you suggested. I have some other things I want to look into.
While we are at it, why do I get an alert on my Fitbit whenever I am making a call on my cell phone? this is another thing that only started after I updated the ios on my phone. Cannot figure out how to turn this off.
Basically, lots of weird stuff happening since the ios was updated.
Still crazy - today I got notifications for several activities including an appointment for 8 November - also got notifications go happening tomorrow but not on the alert schedule I have set in my iCal.
Not happy.

Hi @lizlaurel, it's nice to see you here. @ValBeyers, welcome on board. I'm sorry for my delayed response.
Thanks for keeping me updated about the issues experienced with the notifications. Before anything else, let me share that our team is aware that some of our users are getting call notifications when making outbound calls. This seems to be related to the iOS 13 update, and our team is currently working to identify a solution as soon as possible. In the meantime we suggest to keep your Fitbit device and Fitbit app up-to-date.
In regards to the calendar notifications, please provide me with your iPhone's model. Also, make sure that you don't have other calendar apps integrated with iCal and give a try to the following steps:
I'll be around, keep me posted.
Hello @lizlaurel and @ValBeyers
I see your both having notification issues. Particular calendar event notifications that repeating themselves. As I’m sure your aware that Fitbit is indeed working on the notifications issues and hopefully a fix will be coming soon.
In the meantime I clearly understand that getting repeating calendar events can be quite maddening. I would suggest disabling your calendar events notifications on your Fitbit app for the time being until the issued is fully addressed. You can simply enable it back again later.
Here’s how:
open your Fitbit app
tap your profile picture on upper left
scroll down an tap your Fitbit type (located just under “My Family”)
scroll down an tap notifications
now disable calendar events
now sync your app
😃 I hope this gives you an answer to the current situation and provides you with a temporary workaround until a better solution can be found.
Best AnswerI have done this and everything else you all have suggested - and yet this AM I have received 4 notifications for the same calendar event that is scheduled for tomw and NONE of these notifications appeared on my phone.
Best AnswerI'm happy to report that the endless calendar notifications on my FitBit stopped after I disabled calendar notifications in the app and synced the device. I hope there's a solution soon for you. Per the FitBit banner I see at the top of this page, others are having similar issues.
Valerie
@ValBeyers are you saying you disabled the cal notifications and did NOT re-enable them? I have been re-enabling them after running through the suggested solutions.
Best AnswerHello again @lizlaurel
Yes the disabling of the calendar events is a way to just stop the repeating calendar events your receiving. The suggestion is to keep the calendar events disabled UNTIL the notifications issue is addressed hopefully very soon. I hope that makes sense.
OK, thanks. For some reason that was not clear to me. I have disabled them. Hopefully my explanations of what’s been happening will be helpful.
Best AnswerHello again @lizlaurel
Im happy to see your repeating calendar events have been resolved now as well. I realize it’s not the exact resolution you were hoping for but I’m sure the repeating notifications where getting frustrating. We do hope a permanent resolution to the notification issue will be coming soon. No word yet on a timeframe but please watch this thread here to keep updated with the latest information: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...
Best AnswerI see I am not the only one about ready to throw my Fitbit out the window!
Certain calendar alerts just keep coming!
For the past two days I have been getting an alert about every 5 minutes for an event tomorrow night. In the calendar I chose 1 alert a week before the event and that’s all!
It doesn’t happen with every event I have alerts for but when it does, it’s like it’s stuck and can’t recognize it already sent an alert!
Hello and welcome @kericks
