On my Versa 2 the app has recently started shown the same data for consecutive days. Shows 7034 steps today, 7034 steps yesterday & 7035 steps Monday. The previous days are correct. If I close & restart app it sorts out, but after an hour or so problem back again.
On line chat support say restart app (which I’d told home I already had), resrtatt phone, turn off Bluetooth & repair, delete app & reinstall then setup again. Done all that but doesn’t fix.
Anyone else having the problem? Any suggestions?

@JuanFitbit Downloaded yesterday - but had not restarted phone. Just did - and while I have my actual steps for today - the steps for yesterday are 0, the day before that is 0, and is 0 everyday going back to Aug 28, and Aug 27 is incomplete... So it is at 0 for 29 consecutive days.

Sorry, but no dice for me so far. I just updated the app via the Apple App store, it updated okay. I rebooted my iPad. Reopened Fitbit app...same old story. Current steps appear, yesterday and all previous days still show zero. This will not be resolved unless all the missing data back to Aug 26 is repopulated.
I have to wonder if this is willful and deliberate on Google's part. We see the post on Tomsguide that Google is shutting down Fitbit. Can't understand what it means.
I have to wonder...isn't this brazen consumer fraud? Didn't we all pay money for these devices with the expectation they will function for the intended purpose? And with the arbitrary and capricious removal of the Windows dashboard, many people who don't have the right devices were flat out denied the use of their paid for property. Isn't this a kind of theft? Outright consumer fraud?
Here's what we need, Google. Restore the app fully, as a minimum, and do it immediately. And, restore the Windows dashboard. The weeks long failure of the Google Fitbit App only underscores the many, many complaints and testimonials that the Google App is a piece of junk, nowhere near as useful as the Windows dashboard. You can't tell me Google doesn't have the ability to fix this. So when it doesn't happen, it seems very clear to me this is willful and deliberate. And, go ahead, please help me understand, explain to me, why this is not consumer fraud?

Still doesn’t work for me: I’ve downloaded the latest version from the App Store, and even restarted my phone. Still zero today and all the way back til 8/26. And I walked over 25,000 steps today!

It's a real shame. I used my Fitbit for nearly a decade, and the community message boards for many years.

I have not had any posts removed and have been critical of the failure of the update to work properly and the extraordinary amount of time this problem has persisted. Some of the FitBit team have posted in response to some of our comments, but it is not clear why it is taking over a month to resolve this. I wish FitBit/Google were a little more transparent about what has occurred - and not sure why that hasn't happened. Having been a satisfied user of their product for over 10 years this current situation has been very disappointing. Google is a tech company - their handling of this software problem doesn't inspire confidence.

Fitbit team, Juan, Are you still there? Have you been reading all of these posts saying the same problem still persists and the issue is definitely not resolved. Many of us have been with Fitbit for years now and we deserve better treatment than this. Kindly update us on when this issue will be resolved.

Per Juan, I updated the Fitbit App to the newest version (4.26.1). I turned my phone off/on again. After the update, today shows the accurate steps but previous days show 0 steps. Went back into the app and today’s steps show 0 also. This is not resolved!

This fix seemed to work for me, with my Flex2. Steps are recording and saving properly for the days since i updated. For those users stating fix is not working, as their prior days still show zero, I’d hazard a guess that the fix is for moving forward, with no way to capture past data.

I have synced successfully for the past 3 days but when I now look at any day prior to today it shows zero steps, so you're guess that the fix is moving forward unfortunately isn't the case for me.

@BoboFofo The past data is there - if you are on a streak for a steps goal - you can't see the previous days data but on the steps page it tells you how many days in a row you have achieved your goal - and if you goto the badges page it shows that you have have achieved the badge for the previous day and updates how many times you have gotten the badge. Someone else on this board was recently able to download the cvs file and said the history was in that as well. The problem seems to be that the new version of the app can't read that data for presentation in the app.

Hi, @JuanFitbit! Thanks for the update! Unfortunately, this solution did not work for me. I uninstalled version 4.25.2 of the app and installed version 4.26.1, reset my tracker, and turned Bluetooth on & off. I have done this multiple times since I first noticed data disappearing from the app and after communicating via chat several times with a Fitbit rep.
I have a Fitbit One and using an Android tablet version 14 and I'm having the same issue as reported by others. My data (steps, distance) syncs each day that the steps occur. However, the next day, if I go back and look at "yesterday," the data is missing on the app. This has been happening each day since August 26, the last day where my data stayed on the app. So for at least a month now, it looks like I've done absolutely nothing step- or distance-wise even though my One continues to track & sync daily. I've had a few days in the month of September where I walked 5 miles & a 10K, and it's very demotivating not seeing it on the app.
What's strange is that my One is connected to another site where I'm in a fitness challenge. For a few days beyond August 26, that site actually recorded data from my One even though the Fitbit app itself shows zero data.

@NormaR. , Thank you for your message. The issue with the data on consecutive days is being worked on. The issue of the data getting 0 is because of it . That's why I reported it as a follow up issue.
@joyjoy61 Thank you for your message. I'd ask you to keep the thread on topic. If you are having difficulties with other features, please post on the designated thread or open a new one. This will help us avoid any confusion. On this thread we will only discuss the issue with the same data on consecutive days or the data getting to 0 as follow up.

Hi, @JuanFitbit! Thanks for keeping us updated. Related to data resetting to zero each day since August 26, I don't know if the following issue also relates to that - happy to submit a separate topic if needed - but I signed up to receive the weekly Fitbit email to see what that looks like for me. Some have reported that the weekly email does show the steps from each day. I've attached the image below of my first weekly email from the past week.
Is a step count supposed to be listed under each day of the week, not just on Saturday as a "best day"? On Saturday, I walked a 10K event, and Sunday was a day I met my goal, but there is no step count under Sunday or the other days of the week even though the email shows my total steps for the week as over 56K. Is this helpful to you & related to the same issue with data resetting to zero each day since August 26?
