We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:
1. GET UP-TO-DATE
- Update the Fitbit app.
- Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.
2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS
- Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
- Tap the information icon
- Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
- Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
- Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
- Tap the information icon
- Turn on Share System Notifications.
3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS
- Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
- Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
- Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App | Settings |
---|---|
Calendar |
|
Messages |
|
Phone |
|
All other apps |
|
4. RESTART YOUR PHONE
For instructions, see the Apple help article.
If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

@Frbdgirl97 on Android. So the apple stuff doesn't work. They're not admitting android is having issues. No useful tips have come to fruition

Well Fitbit gets text message notifications only from non iMessage format. And everyone else is iMessage that I care about.

@Deathwishvixen Sorry! I hope you find a fix soon, I know how annoying it is! I haven’t seen any Android fixed yet either.

Does. Not. Work. Like everyone else here, texts and phone calls are NOT coming through to the VERSA. Everything was working fine after the Apple IOS update. THEN it stopped after the Versa IOS update.
Frustrating. Unnecessary. FitBit knew the update was coming. Poor planning. Poor preparation. Though I have an iPhone, I PURPOSELY purchased a FitBit because I strongly disliked the iWatch.
Please stay up to date. Please help your dedicated customers.

I discovered this problem this morning.... when my silent alarm went off an hour late. It's always fun to be late to work. My fitbit Inspire thought I was still in the Central time zone as it hadn't synced with my phone apparently since Tuesday night. I'm an Android user also. The error I get is "No Device Found".

Well poop! My phone no longer even recognized my tracker? I was trying different things, and so once I did select "Forget" the Ionic in the Bluetooth Setting on my phone. Now my phone doesn't even show the tracker at all, so I cannot get to the 'i' and try the other steps?

I too have fallen victim to this issue. My phone will vibrate and light up for every notification except texts and iMessage. Luckily my Charge 2 is vibrating when they come in but the phone does nothing. One is overriding the other. Very annoying.

I have the Versa. I've done all the updates, followed all the instructions, and still not getting text notifications on my Versa. However, I am getting notifications for phone calls, so not sure why one is working and not the other. Any ideas? I have an iPhone.
