I did too ... Fitbit has until the end of the month and I'm getting an Apple watch. Plus I notice that Fitbit has not reached out to us/customers. All I see is this thread for details and troubleshooting steps. Yet we still having issues of not getting our notifications. I have an Iphone XS Max and the latest update is IOS 13.1.3 so this means that Fitbit is still behind the power curve.
VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH FITBIT!!!!!

Plus none of the Fitbits I’ve ever owned have lasted a whole year.

This has been a awful. Your customer support is nonexistent because all you say is "we are working on it". Meanwhile all I have is a digital watch. No notifications vibrate which is VERY important to us. Not sure why it's taking you so long to figure this out but in the meantime you can launch other products for people to spend their money on. It appears fitbit is going downhill as a company that only cares about making more products to push on people instead taking care of their loyal customers.

Still having issues with notifications. I tried all the suggestions that others have had success with, but still nothing!! Though I am now receiving notifications for when I make a call...WHY IS THIS NEEDED?! And I wasn’t even aware this was an option! Come on FitBit it’s been long enough to have found a solution for this.

Goodbye Fitbit! I am moving on to an Apple watch. In today's pace of technology, this should have been fixed weeks ago!

Bull**ahem**! This has nothing to do with the iOS update!
The notifications don't work for several months now!!!!!
Stop blaming others for your defective software!!!!

Another IOS Update and your message still says 10/09/19 and it's 10/22/19 with no new message.
I'm done. I'll use this calorie counter until it breaks but afterwards, I'm out and on to Apple Watch.

I agree they have known for months and still nothing. I have tried everything and no alerts on my Fitbit. I’m as frustrated as everyone else. Poor customer service and support

What did you do that worked?!

Kind of crazy - I just jumped into my 'Settings' --- 'Notifications' --- 'Messages' app --- into 'Show Previews' and changed from Never (so not everyone could read all texts, that's just my preference) to 'When Unlocked' and it started working. Messages come through on my phone for all to read only when it's unlocked --- it's locked, then there's still notification on my Versa AND Iphone 7 with just reading 'Text Message' under the persons name on my phone because it's locked. No idea. Was surprised it worked though.

I had to uninstall and reinstall everything and only my steps downloads.

How did you get text messages?

Try out what I did above -- been dealing with this crap long enough I was reading someone else's post and tried it, give it a shot -- 50/50 hit rate.

I have been a loyal Fitbit customer since 2013. I am exclusively an Android phone user, and have never used an iPhone. I am experiencing many of the same issue previously reported in this thread said to be associated with an IOS update since Oct 2, so the IOS update explanation seems questionable at best.

Fitbit appears to be much better at designing products that we all want than at making them work.
There's been a problem with
Versa watches for the nearly two years since product launch where they seldom report anywhere near the true heart rate unless the user is resting. Since most other measurements depend on heart rate this invalidates using the Versa at all unless the user spends all their time watching TV and sleeping.
So, as an Android phone user I wish all you iPhone users a happy future with your Fitbits but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on it.
