Stopped seeing notifications after updating to iOS 13

We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

 

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon 
     
     next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon 
       
       next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

That's exactly what's happening with mine. Everything works for me but my
texts and WhatsApp messages. It's crazy annoying.

You are seriously killing me.  I am getting phone calls and calendar event notifications on my Fitbit Blaze but not texts, which I consider most important.  Sorry for the bad tone but I am traveling and expected to have my ID/PW on hand, as well as a stupid community name to even comment.  OMG.  Additionally the idea of reading through 100+ responses to get to an answer is enough to make me want to poke out my eyes.  Am I the only one???

Do not try this if you were able to get the “show previews always” button to work. I hate text previews!   However, I did receive texts on my blaze when I “showed previews always”.  As soon as I turned it to “show previews when locked I no longer received texts in my blaze.  Unfortunately even when I changed it back to “show always” I get nothing.  So......I am back where I started.

My Versa now won’t sync! It’s connected via Bluetooth - phone tells me it’s connected. Have re-started all. Still no sync ☺️

Since upgrading to IOS13 my Ionic loses time over night.  Very frustrating when you use the alarms to wake up (but the extra zzz’s are appreciated haha).  Most notifications still come through though.  Anyone else’s Fitbit losing time?

Mine! I’ve mentioned this to Fitbit and it goes unnoticed. It’s currently 0436h but my watch reads 1511... my steps aren’t even being tallied for the correct day anymore.

It’s VERY frustrating! This has been going on TOO long! I have to keep my phone on silent at work but still need to see my text when they come through! I don’t understand why all

other notifications are working but not text. This needs to be fixed ASAP!!!

I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps and still are not having any luck getting my text and calls to show up on my fitbit versa.

I noticed on my Charger 2 that it does not always stays connected to my Bluetooth. Could this be part of the problem?  I connected it stays connected but not all the time.

I got this same error message on my Fitbit Versa that is connected to my samsung galaxy S10+ phone.  It is draining fast and won't charge with wall plug or my laptop.  This is beyond frustrating!!!!  What do those of us do who are hooking up to Android phones?  Please help....my fitbit will be useless by the end of the day if I can't charge it!

I STILL can not get text messages on the Fitbit 2 - why is it taking so long?  I tried to do WhatApp and that doesn't work either.  Anyone have a suggestion other then the 'official' fitbit answer above?

Has anyone actually managed to get their notifications fixed with the posted 'troubleshooting' steps? I've tried them all multiple times, and I've emailed fitbit....nothing has helped. I rely on the text notification feature as I have to keep my phone on silent pretty much all the time....honestly getting really frustrated that the issue can't be resolved!

I updated my IPhone 8 iOS 13 over a week ago and can’t get notification on my Fitbit. I would like I to know how much longer is it going to be before Fitbit techs can figure out what the problem is and let the Fitbit owners abidea on a fix for this headache.
