We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

Just the same as me with my versa it’s now 15 mins slow so not much good as just a watch either, let’s hope they resolve this soon.

set it to "only when unlocked" and then it wont show your messages when your phone is locked but you will still receive the notifications on your watch. that worked for me but I understand your frustration

I am having issues not receiving ANY notifications whatsoever on my Android phone. I don't even have an iPhone, I have a Samsung Note 8 so please tell me why my notifications aren't working

I do need to have an iPhone...I have an Android, a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I have disabled, I have shutdown, rebooted, messed with the Bluetooth, etc...and yet I still am not receiving notifications whatsoever! What is going on? I have done all updates as well! I have had a Fitbit for almost 6 years now, got my newest Fitbit (blaze) going on 3 years ago and have never had this issue until now. U rely on my blaze to send me notifications for emergencies, if this can't be fixed, hate to say it, but I will just have to look into a different type of watch from a totally different company but I would NOT like to do so! So please fix this issue!

This is happening to everyone no matter what type of phone you have ever since these iOS 13 updates Fitbit is connecting to the phone but people can’t receive texts on their Fitbit it only goes to the cell phone. It’s very aggravating and to me they seem like they’re doing nothing about it

Your showing an update firm wear solution for iphones,   what about the people that own androids? we still don't have any solutions to fix the problems associated with this. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks or more to get this fixed.  No notifications, no alexa,  No syncing and can't find Bluetooth is the latest problem.    I have a charge 2 and it synced no problem.  SO it is not my phone but the Versa 2 has a big problem.!!!! please fix this.

I can’t even get the app to update let alone get functionality back. The app just opens then closes immediately.
