We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

Your versa doesn't have notifications? I have a screen for notices but it always says that I'm up to date

I'm the same... just don't get it. It's definitely supposed to be able to. Not sure what to do next

Just went through this with all my Bluetooth devices.  I really thought I had a faulty iPhone 11, since none of my Bluetooth devices would connect (except for AirPods).

I disconnected all the devices from my old iPhone and turned off Bluetooth on my iPad.  Then restarted my new iPhone.  I had no issues pairing all my devices (including Fitbit)

I have done everything from disconnecting my charge 3 from my recognized devices on my phone since updating to iOS 13 and reconnecting it to multiple Bluetooth turn offs and turn ons and still no texts are coming through

I just spoke to Fitbit support and they told me this is known issue with Fitbit and the new IOS update. They said they cannot provide follow up but they are working on it and I will know it’s working when I start to get the notifications.

at this point, I feel like I should invest in an Apple Watch. I wasn’t expecting and IOS update to break my Fitbit notifications

Mine won’t sync at all after ios13. Says to turn on bluetooth even when it’s on and fitbit is showing as connected...

Seems to work if you select when unlocked also just doesn’t work if you select never. Hope this can be fixed since I don’t like the preview showing ever.

Great news 👍 I'm now receiving my messages 😁. Hopefully this will help...Go to your profile.. enter go to device (ex: versa) enter... finally go to notifications enter... Fitbit app will then send you futher questions.. answer all and your watch notifications are on!!! Just tested it and ya it actually worked for the first time. Hope this helps

Yes I'm having issues as well... When you need the notifications such as text to show on your fitbit rather than dig your phone out of your pocket while at work is a major inconvenience. I'm coming real close at tossing it and getting an apple watch. NOT HAPPY!!

Share System Settings is on. Turned on and off and did everything else too. Nothing. I depend on this device because I’m deaf. Really hope this gets fixed.

I have the same issue on iOS 13 and new iPhone 11 pro.   Not getting text notifications.  The setup is correct.  I have already checked it.
