@Shanjack @MandyMae @josiepcosta @AmandaForehand @Novee @Ribguy7 @keekee66 this works for me...
On iPhone go to settings - notifications - messages - show previews - when unlocked. You will start getting alerts after that on Fitbit but only see the message on your phone when you unlock it. I have iPhone 11 Pro Max on newest update and Fitbit newest update with an Alta and it’s working fine this way until they fix it.
Moderator edit: format
My ionic still does not vibrate for texts or calendar alerts. I never had an issue with calls. My issue started with the firmware update after iOS 13. I followed these instructions more than five times over multiple days with no success. And no. The Do Not Disturb is not on. I have checked that over ten times and my vibrate setting is set to strong.

Best AnswerI have tried everything suggested and then some, the notifications and the sync of my heart rate and sleep doesn't work. I had sleep update one day since the update and if my heart rate was as high as this says it is when it does work, I would be dead. In one day when we watched football most of the day I burned 5500 calories because my heart rate was at 183 for more than 5 hours.
I have purchased many fit bit devices over the years and my next purchase will be an apple watch!
Best AnswerI have been very diligent in following the step-by-step instructions to make sure my iOS, phone settings and FitBit settings are all up to date and align with what is directed in this HELP article.
I am sad to say after numerous attempts over several weeks I am still unable to receive text messages to my FitBit Versa. I receive Facebook Messenger notifications, Calender notifications, Reminder notifications but no Text message notifications.
One of the reasons I upgraded to this particular FitBit was for the text notifications. I know it isn't a huge problem in the grand scheme of things but it is frustrating.
I emailed FitBit Support and while they were very polite in their correspondence I got no further information. I was told it is not a problem for everybody and it is not all Versa's. I was told that they know about the problem and are working to fix it. I asked about my warrantee as my Versa is less than a year old but was told that unless I purchased it from the online FitBit store I wasn't covered.
I know tech moves quickly and there are glitches and compatibility issues between products, operating systems etc. but this is frustrating and I feel there is a lack of accountability on FitBit's part. I have had my connectivity issues in the past and some "human error" issues with my FitBit devices but this has been going on a while now and I have done what I have been directed to SEVERAL times now and still it's not working. Sadly I feel my product is not as advertised and I have no recourse but to wait or buy a different product.
Still having issues with my Versa and notifications. Have gone through all steps as outlined in the "Find help here" section - to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Haven't had notifications (texts) on my Fitbit for well over 2 months 😞
Best AnswerI am doing the same thing taking mine back for a full refund. Disappointing been with Fitbit for years. And sticking to my iwatch so much worth it.
Best AnswerI tried all these steps several times. Still no working.
I have to manually sync any time I want data to go the the ap.
All day sync will never connect.
My old Charge 2 worked great. I wanted the water resistant capabilities...but nothing works now!

Best AnswerI have followed your directions and receive every notification except texts. I don't understand how every other notification works but texts. Looking at the thread, its a common theme. If you're having an interphase issue you should just let the customer know. It's ridiculous that the issues can't be fixed with your steps. Help me understand.
