Finally got this to work (Versa2 and Iphone 8+). Followed all instructions several times and realized I was not selecting "Notification Center" under the alerts section in Notifications> Messages. Once i did that my messages started coming through and so far have had no problems.

My Fitbit Charge 2 still isn’t working for texts. The calls & calendar appt notifications come through. My Fitbit has been updated to 13.12 and iOS to 13.3. It’s weird it’s just texts that don’t work but I’ve tried all the steps numerous times. Suggestions?

So, I did this about a month ago, and my fitbit doesn't even work now. It sits at the main startup screen - have you been able to get past the "update" portion after doing a factory reset?

How can you go to forget this device & re-add it if you can’t see the screen and get the code needed to add it back in? I’ve done everything, all the suggestions for the last 4-5 days, NOTHING. Fitbit needs to get this fixed & now. I have a Versa & can’t change or set alarms if I can’t see them. So frustrated.

I have been trying various things to try and get my notifications to work again on my Inspire HR and I did resolve the problem. I went to the Bluetooth settings and told it to forget my inspire hr device. Then went back in and paired it again and now I have the option to “share system notifications”. Now getting all notifications I want.

I have done all of these steps three times with no results. Any more suggestions? I have an Alta HR. Notifications are on. Sharing is on. Blue tooth connected. Reset Fitbit. Restarted phone.

OMG - I did not have Notification Center enabled on my iPhone. I turned it on and have text notifications for the first time since the initial IOS 13 upgrade. iPhone 10 and Charge 2. I had followed all of the other steps multiple times but never thought about that setting having an impact.

Purchased ionic yesterday and had to update software before using. I have tried all the solutions ‘katefitbit’ suggests but I only receive phone call vibration on Fitbit and nothing else.
my watch does not offer a ‘notifications’ option.
Fitbit what are the options here ? Do I need to return and get refund ?

I have a Versa and iPhone XR. I get phone call notification buzzes on my Versa but no others. After reading another post today, I did see that the watch is getting text notifications as I can see them when I swipe down, but no buzz. The buzzing stopped working around the time iOS 13 was released. I remember either an app update it a firmware update. I was still on iOS 12.4.x (I think) and noticed a lot of complaints that were being blamed on iOS 13. That was not my situation. I finally updated to iOS 13.2.1 awhile ago and there was no change. Just today, I updated to iOS 13.3 and the newest Versa firmware and went through the hoops listed at the top of this topic, but still no buzz when I get a text.

FUSTRATING!! can you give me my money back on this? I 100% know that the Fitbit app is up to date and 100% know that I am on the latest Apple 8 IOS 13.3 software update. I have done the directions you have given me at least 10 times, I have spent now about 6 hours on this stupid issue. Once I get to the last step of going back into my app and pressing my inspire device and then going to the NOTIFICATIONS to turn it on, I get a spinning wheel that never stops and the All day sync also has a spinning wheel that never stops, then I get the error message that says "Bluetooth Pairing Required" your Inspire and your iPhone need to be paired before you can use this feature" press set up...so I press set up and nothing happens...so I can not even open the NOTIFICATION at all. My Bluetooth is for sure connected also. The version I am seeing on my inspire is Version 20001.63.5
I even try now to select the All-Day Sync and it once again tells me that "Bluetooth Pairing required"
I bought this device two weeks ago and was able to get my notifications...what is going on?? soo very frustrating..can I get my money back>

It has been months but I finally got my Charge 2 to notify me of text messages from my iPhone 7. I did a forget this device. The charge 2 showed up automatically again. When I went into the fitbit app to do the following directions:
the fitbit app asked to pair my charge 2 again and then I had to hit allow then my text message started to show up! I always received phone call alerts and Calendars but not text messages. So glad it is finally working. Can't believe it was a security feature in apple blocking just text messages.

I also had to turn on messages preview while unlocked. I am not excited about that. If i turn this off text messages do not go to my fitbit

updated to the most recent IOS and tried all of the suggestions once again- no go 😞 this is really getting out of hands - when are you going to provide a solution that works for all affected users?

I've finally figured out how to get the vibration setting back for my text messages. However, I've never had my phone settings for my text messages on preview. That has always been shut off (never showing text message preview) and prior to the iOS 13 update, that has never affected this setting on my Fitbit. Why with the 13 update does this all of a sudden change? I have a child and I don't need or want her reading my messages. When will this setting change so that I can turn my message preview setting back to never but still have the text alert on my Fitbit?
