I just got my Fitbit versa today! I’m trying to connect with my iphone8 and it’s not connecting with Bluetooth. It’s not even recognizing the watch. Disappointed.

I’m having the same problem, Very disappointing. I tried troubleshooting with no luck. I’m even more disappointed, because my girlfriend just bought one based on my recommendation. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before she starts having the same problem.

I called the help desk and they helped me connect. My iPhone was trying to stay connected to my old phone. Turned off Bluetooth on it and it connected to the iPhone right away.

Hello @Normag and @carmenmichael, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you around too @ksmaz and @versaemoli, thanks for joining the conversation! Smiley Happy

@Normag and @carmenmichael, I appreciate you have shared your experience and let me know your issue has now been resolved, I'm very glad!

@ksmaz, if your iPhone 8+ is still unable to set up your Versa correctly, please reset the Versa once again by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. Then, plug it in and make sure it's charging, tap on it to go to the clock-face and try to set it up again following the instructions I've provided earlier.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome!

New versa for 2 weeks. Bluetooth connection issue. Restarted the device several times, disconnected the pairing (@least 3x), re-installed. iOS8 (latest software).  Each morning/charge the app continues to try to find the device. Eventually it does after many takes (shouldn’t take this long). No other Bluetooth signed with it to search. It’s every morning since I track sleep. Case has been put in. All other troubleshooting has been tried.

I can’t connect to my iPhone 8 anymore and am sick of resetting it so I’ve given up. I have better luck with my iPad 2 so I am using that instead, although sometimes it loses connectivity also. So disappointed in this product as I loved my Charge 2 and never had any connection problems with it. Sorry I upgraded.

I had a blaze for 2 years and did not have a single issue.  It seems that anytime I am trying to see the Fitbit app the syncing is “looking” and the progress bar move the quits then searches again.

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great day! Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. Have you restarted your tracker and your phone already? If so, I would like to suggest you to check the following:

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process
  • Check that your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone again.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time.
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try to sync.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Yes - I've tried all of them.  It eventually connects then disconnects the next time the Bluetooth tries to connect.  I am a software tester so very familiar with how to troubleshoot and the fact that I should not have to continually worry about resynching.  I have returned the Versa.  Using my Blaze (where the left button broke) and looking now into a Garmin.  Appreciate the support.  I would have loved to have kept the Versa.  The apple watch would not suffice for me as I want the sleep, heart rate monitoring, activity tracking - the bells and whistles around apple watch would not work for me.

I have been through all of these steps, multiple times on my iphone 6 and have yet to connect to Bluetooth even once. I also cannot connect to wifi, neither of my two network choices appear.

I have deleted and re-installed the app multiple times. This is incredibly frustrating.
