Update 9/17/2019: We have released iOS app version 3.6.1 to all users. Please update your app to this version. It is recommended to all experiencing continuous crashes and should resolve this issue.

Hi Everyone - I've merged several posts together.

We're aware of an issue that may cause some iOS users to experience a continuous crash when trying to open the app after updating to version 3.6.

To resolve this, please try to uninstall and reinstall the app from the app store. Even if you have tried this previously, please try again.

If this does not work, our team is working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution.

We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

New update is 3.6.1. Before that I did delete & reinstall twice. Luckily, I didn’t lose data but anything is possible. I took a chance & so far so good. Others had a bad experience. No way to tell. 😬

On my second fitbit and this will be my last.  Who would release a software update that prevents users from accessing the data? Plus they never have come up with a band as dependable as a 1950's Timex band. Yes I uninstalled the app when it didn't work.  Then I tried to reinstall it, but you know life's to short to waste time fooling with it.

There is a new update 3.6.1 that seems to fix the issues. I certainly understand your frustrations, I had them as well. Good luck!

I have had mine for 7 years and logged 26 million steps without an issue. 3 days I can't sync. Not worth it.

It does not delete your data, even though the iPhone says that. The Fitbit data is stored on the device not the phone app.

What a total fail. I have a brand new Versa and can’t even get app to open long enough to uninstall. Have followed all the steps given to correct - a bunch of garbage.

At this point, am returning the Versa- have at it
