Hi
i upgraded from an iphone 6S to an 8 and now I can get silent alarms but text/call notification has stopped. I’ve tried resetting, deleting the app etc but no joy. I really need this function for work.

I’ve been a Fitbit user for years so this is really disappointing that they can’t keep up with the technology and annual iPhone upgrades. Heads up Fitbit...iPhone X is coming too. It’s not on the compatible device list either. When will that software update be available... next summer? I might as well switch to Apple Watch. At least I know it will work with ALL iPhone models.

Does this mean you still haven't got it to sync and work with your phone?

Correct. 2 different Fitbit support reps couldn’t figure it out and both told me the issue is that iPhone 8 is it not on the compatible device list. See previous thread.

I am having the exact same issue. I've forgotten device from Bluetooth settings, forgotten device from Fitbit app, deleted and reinstalled Fitbit app, put Fitbit on charger and reset the device, reinstalled Fitbit app and added new device through app, entered code and allowed notifications. Location services is on. I've done this process five or six times and cannot get any text or call notifications. This is 100% unacceptable for this to have been an issue for this long. I haven't been able to receive notifications since I got my phone over a month ago.

Yup, totally unacceptable! I feel your pain and frustration. Which Apple search are you getting? 🙂

Fitbit,
Any news on this? Any fixes in the works? Do your engineers know of this problem? I've heard people with iPhone X are having the exact same issues.

Unfortunately, my Fitbit is saying that it's running on the latest update. I even deleted the app and updated to the new release on the 31st with no results. There is some sort of serious issue with the fitbit's connection to an iPhone 8.
Fitbit,
Any updates? Any news whatsoever? Or is your plan to just continue to ignore us.

It’s been over a month for me and they just say there’s nothing they can do. Gave me a 50% off coupon for another Fitbit product. It will just happen again !!

Fitbit's response today:
tldr: You're SOL until they get around to fixing it.
Bryan at Fitbit: "As you already know, the iPhone 8 was released a month ago and is not compatible but we've been eager to get support out as quickly as possible."
Bryan at Fitbit: "You can still use the Fitbit app on your iOS device to track food, activities, and more."
Bryan at Fitbit: "We appreciate your understanding while we work to improve this experience, and encourage you to check our list of compatible devices later."
Bryan at Fitbit: "Our engineers are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible."
Bryan at Fitbit: "The same happened when the iPhone 7 was released we added support quickly."
Bryan at Fitbit: "The iPhone 8 has Bluetooth 5.0 that is an update to the current Bluetooth 4.0 protocol that removes certain limitations and allow developers to do more with Bluetooth devices. It is backwards compatible and Fitbit trackers are compatible with devices using Bluetooth 4.2."

I have an iPhone 7 Plus with the iOS 11 updates and I have no access to my texts on my less than 2 month old Blaze. I get the call feature but nothing else. I’ve been back and forth with Fitbit to keep getting the response that it’s not the tracker, it’s a connectivity problem so there’s no way they can send a replacement, have no idea when this can get resolved, and cannot tell me what the problem could be. I’ve been fighting this for over a week now and am absolutely disgusted with customer service, the lack of urgency, and doing a half-assed job to keep the consumer happy. This has nothing to do with my phone and tracker. This has to do with their software and lack of keeping up with the times.

I just upgraded to Iphone 8 Plus and was not receiving text and phone notifications. I tried all the above solutions and nothing worked. I then deleted the app and reloaded it through the app store and it is now working.

I had some problems with iPhone 8. I didn't have a good screen, I contacted a service center near my home, as far as I can judge from their site misterfix.us/shop/iphone-repair/iphone-8/ , they also deal with problems with the firmware and incorrect application work. Maybe you also want to contact specialists? I know that I can break the phone even more if I start repairing it myself.
