Inappropriate friend request

My son has had two friend requests from nude women. He is 8. Luckily he has no device and it comes straight to me. Why is it IV never had these requests? It's like they are purposely targeting children's accounts. I have blocked both. Please advise on why this is happening?

Hello yes I have reported both requests. Two different women with full frontal nudity in the profile picture. I'm just not understanding why I have had two requests in one afternoon when I have only this week signed his account up. I have been a member for years and never had one. 

I am concerned for when he is a young teen and may have his own device to log his steps and activity of there are ppl actively requesting from child profiles.

I think I might have had the same whore women send friend request to my 8 year old son too. These people are disgusting. I wish there was a setting where you could just simply not accept any friends request from anyone.

This just happened to my child’s account as well!!! Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Anyone know how to block all friend requests??

I don’t think you can! I am technologically handicapped but I spent a great deal of time trying to disable friend request. I wasn’t successful.

I just bought my 9 year old a fit bit and have received 2 friend requests from naked women.  This is unacceptable

I keep getting random friend invites from women with naked profile pics for my sons account a child account! Wtf is wrong with people, anyone else get this problem! Like seriously, get a life!

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to get in touch with customer support. I received a request from someone to follow me on my Fitbit profile and their photo is inappropriate for a site like this. Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi @SunsetRunner  and @Jeramiah  your posts were merged into this thread, where others have reported the same issue. I've notified a moderator about your posts. Really, it's hard to stop these people and seems so many people have far too much time on their hands. Sorry this is happening.

I have had to same issue with two of my kids accounts, I have reported all 3 accounts and blocked them, but also if you go to the settings menu and look at the accounts you have blocked their profile picture are fully visible.

This is my daughter's first device and such a negative experience.  I'm so glad that she didn't actually see the images because they were so inappropriate even for adults.  I'm shocked that such profiles are allowed to be created and that those people have access to children's accounts. I spoke to customer service this morning and told them I need someone to explain how this can happen to children's accounts.  I think this is too risky for children and would not recommend for adults either

I find your answer not enough... doing your best does not do the trick in this serious case of violation of privacy. 

I also received an inpropriate friends request for my eight year old son. I want to hide my son’s account and mine/ incl. e-mailadres)

there is no option for that in the app. 

Fitbit makes illegal use of my e-mail account possible. Please stop this as soon as possible. Fitbit itself ketting this happen is operating in violation of privacy regulations. 

I do not want to receive these kind of messages! Please let me now that you solved this situation ultimately this week. 
otherwise I want to return the Fitbit Ace 2 with reimbursement of the money I paid, inclusief evidence that my data is deleted

Fitbit, what the heck?? Today I've received THREE porn 'adverts' through friend requests. One of these was sent to my ELEVEN YEAR OLD son's account!! To say I'm furious about this is the understatement of the year... How can you promote a community scene and then not police it properly? This is social media elementary. 😡
