My son has had two friend requests from nude women. He is 8. Luckily he has no device and it comes straight to me. Why is it IV never had these requests? It's like they are purposely targeting children's accounts. I have blocked both. Please advise on why this is happening?

Oops, nevermind - original post still there.
Thank you for replying fit bit and, hopefully, having implemented fixes to prevent it.
Cheers.

@dan.tee can not say how they got your sons E-mail address. Fitbit doesn't have your sons e-mail address.
Your son is under your e-mail.
Report the person so that fitbit can handle this.

I've deleted all the emails because I couldn't see anywhere that said 'Report Abuse' or similar. It seems to have gone quiet now anyway?

@Kimberleykarlss thanks for reporting it. The more people who take the time to report these incidents helps Fitbit.

The emails come from your Fitbit account.
Open your Fitbit app, community, friends to see the actual invite.

Is it possible to not get any friends requests at all?

You can disable them from being sent to email from your settings.

I also received 4 porn-themed "friend requests" on December 13th, with photos of naked women. These come through email, and I want to report them, but according to the help article I have to go to their profile to report it. I don't know of a way to find their profile, and I am certainly not accepting the request. Let us know if there is a better way to report these and what FitBit is doing to prevent these spam user accounts from spamming legitimate users.
I was able to see the profiles in my notifications dashboard but there is no way to report the profile, only decline the request. How can I report these porn advertisements?

Hi @SunsetRunner since Moderator Matthew edited those profiles from your post, you can be sure it's been reported.

@SunsetRunner The only way to report these profiles is in the app. If you open the Fitbit app, you'll see an inbox icon at the top-right, which should contain the same friend requests that you see on the website dashboard. You can then press the "three dots" icon to report them.
Sorry for the experience you had - our team takes this situation seriously and is taking steps to prevent this from recurring in the future.

My friend request included a link to a website, which I suspect is a porn site.

Same issues with the ones I got

When I click on the three dots on the request, it does not seem to have a profile to report. I can select reasons but the submit report button is grayed out. The image in the friends request includes info for a website where presumably I can connect to the nudist in the pic. I have a screen shot but nowhere to send it.

I am a 63 yr old disabled man with many grandkids. My grandkids were playing with my Fitbit on my phone and I heard them whispering to each other, so I checked to see what was going on! My GRANDKIDS were looking at a NUDE PICTURE of some girl naked. I don’t allow anything like Nude pictures on my phone,IPad,Computer because my grandkids always play on them when they come to see me. I called Fitbit and talked to Acquilla in Caribbean. I explained to her what had happened and she said she would send me a email after looking at my account. I am somewhat hard of hearing and asked her just to be sure if she was going to send me a email she then said NO. So I asked for a email address or phone number of the headquarters of Fitbit. She told me there is no phone number for the headquarters of Fitbit and she doesn’t have a email address I can use for correspondence with Fitbit! So I asked if I could please speak to her supervisor and she said yes hang on. I did for 15 minutes and then it just hung up. I did some research and found the PHONE NUMBER FOR the Fitbit headquarters in San Francisco California. So I called and keep getting a busy signal....Does anyone know the best way to handle this? Ps I am not on prime,I just got my Fitbit....
