My Alta just crashes out about every other day right around the time I get to 10,000 steps. I have to plug it into the cable and "charge" it to get it to restart even though it seems to have a charge. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a solution?

My Alta just did this again, about 10 minutes ago while on my walking trail. It’s becoming s annoying that I’m about ready to try something else. I’ve removed the device several times from my phone and reinstalled but no luck. It still syncing with my phone right now but not counting

It appears this issue has been ongoing since at least February. I know Fitbit has discontinued this particular model but for those of us still using it I think we deserve an explanation. Today I walked for 11km. ...I felt the vibration at 5000 steps and when I got home my Fitbit was dead. I followed all the steps outlined and it finally showed I did 5003 steps. This is the 3rd time it’s done it.... very disappointed that this company has not solved this issue. I’ve used your products now for about 5 years but thinking it might be time for a change

My Alta HR crashed just after I hit 10,000 steps today. It's 15 months old.
I tried restarting it (pressing the 3 buttons) and recharging it (although it was at 85%) but nothing worked. I called support and they pretty much just said "here's 25% off a new device." My guess is that since it's a discontinued model, they aren't doing any software support anymore. I bought a new one.

I've just started using my fitbit again after some time of it being dormant and have discovered the same problem since resuming use. I'm glad it's not just me with the issue, but also sad that everyone is having the same. Very disheartening as I try to get back into a routine.

CeeRee - is yours less than a year old and still under warranty? That may be why they want to replace it. Mine was 15 months old so I got the 25% off offer. There was a 50% off offer but it was only on particular models and colours that didn’t sell well.

Mine is doing the same. Time for another brand if Fitbit just turns their backs.
