Ever since I did the update I've noticed my Alta all of a sudden shuts off with no warning. Every time the battery is on yellow but not dead. I get nothing on the screen and it stops syncing. I mainly use it for phone or text notifications so not having it working with no warning is a problem. I am able to restart it by plugging it in. But that option is not always available. It never did that before the update. Now I regret doing the update.

Why would I buy another ‘fitbit’ when they do not want to fix their problems!! We do have other options.

mine too it keeps on turning off wll of a sudden everytime i press on it to turn it on it doesnt work i have to plug it in to the charger so it can power on again and it only powere on for 5 seconds then turns back off this has happned to me multiple times in school and i dont bring my charger with me so in my opinion i think you should remove the update because mine was doing just fine before the updat

It's been more than 2 years since this problem was reported to fitbit officials . How can it be that still no fix or help is provided to its users . They just want us to spend more money and get trapped in their system again. I have this same problem reported by other user . Any and every method tried from "effective fixes " to changing multiple accounts . The device works perfectly even if i plug in for a split second to a charger , but as soon as it goes dim due to inactivity ; never to turn back on . I store i bought from don't have any fix either , rather don't even know about this issue .
Many people commented its not a firmware issue , but there is no other indication of an issue with the device . It is purely a firmware catch . Unfortunately fitbit does not allow to roll back to old firmware or offer any reset or firmware management for that matter.
It's just so sad of game played by the fitbit makers , Purposefully destroying our devices and then give no assistance to fix the same .
