Upgraded my iPhone 6 Plus to the new iPhone Xr. Only to discover that my Fitbit Alta won’t pair with it at all!! Is there any way to fix this?
I have tried factory resets, forgetting device, switching Bluetooth on and off, switching phone on and off etc
Has anyone else had any success?

Thank you! Thank you! I unpaired my Alta from my old phone. Then set up a new device on the Fitbit app on my new phone. It worked perfectly.

Oh my gosh, this thread was so helpful!
I had tried restarting the app, restarting my phone, deleting the app & reinstalling it. No luck getting my Alta to pair with my new phone.
I tried the suggestion of removing it on the app on my old phone & then adding it as a new device on the new one. It seems to be working!

Thank you so much for this info. I have been trying to sync my Alta to my new iPhone XR for about 2 hours. Tried your tip on getting my old phone to forget the device and within seconds of me doing this my new phone linked with Fitbit straight away. You, my friend, are a lifesaver ☺️😁
