Hello,
Trying to connect by brand new fitbit Alta to my phone, plugged into the computer, bluetooth is on, it keeps saying "We found your tracker! Connecting ot Tracker..." and then nothing happens. I've restarted my phone, restarted the Alta. I've deleted the app and reinstalled it. I've removed the tracker from my app and currently trying to set it up again. Is anyone else having this problem?

One other thing to note, when it happened again I ended up having to remove all of the Bluetooth devices off of my pixel XL. Only then, did I get the 4 digit code to connect the watch to the phone.

@Mikee105 Thank you for getting back! I'd like you to take a look at this page, which contains a list of supported mobile devices that sync with Fitbit trackers. There are times that Fitbit trackers sync with non-supported devices. However, it's not guaranteed that all the features (syncing, notifications, etc) will work or may stop working if they did sometimes.
If your phone is not added in the list, you can go ahead and vote for this Feature Suggestion and the more votes this request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers.
Let me know if you have any doubts!

Unfortunately, I have tried ALL of the things mentioned above and my tracker still won't connect.
I got to this point because my Alta HR had trouble syncing. I tried (as a last resort) to disconnect eh alta, delete my app, reinstall, and reconnect my fitbit. Here I am.
I've attempted to do the delete the alta from bluetooth settings, my attempted rebooting my phone, soft resetting the alta by pressing the button on the charger 3 times, and everything else mentioned in this forum.
My last attempt was to wait until the alta was completely out of battery (which took a full week) and re-charge it, and it still won't connect.
Every single time I try, the following occurs:
1. Set up new device
2. "We found your tracker!"
3. Enter code, press enter
4. Does not connect - either goes on forever (I left it alone for an hour to see) or get the screen "Having trouble?"
What am I supposed to do?

@taannat It's great to see you here! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit tracker is still unable to sync your data even though you have tried all the recommended troubleshooting steps. In order to avoid any confusion on my end, I would like to know if you have a Fitbit Alta or an Alta HR. This will help me to assist you and proceed accordingly.
See you around!

This is absolutely ridiculous, the amount of trouble this is to get connected. We have the Alta HR and the Aria and for Pete's sake it shouldn't take an hour and a half to set up a Bluetooth or WiFi device in 2018. Y'all need to redo your programming. Getting hung up on connecting after entering the four digit code. Just keeps going and going and going.
I'll NEVER recommend this device to anyone again.

@SadieLafavers Thank you for participating in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry about the experience you've had with your Alta HR. I totally understand your frustration.
I would like to help you in order to turn the bad experience into a good experience. Do you get any error message after entering the 4 digit code? Does your tracker have enough battery level? How far are you from your router? This information will help me to determine the cause of the issue.
Looking forward to your response!

After contacting customer support and going thru uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting my tracker and phone, and turning my bluetooth on and off multiple times my tracker still wouldn't connect. The app found it, put in the code and the "connecting forever." I was told the device was no.longer working and I would have to purchase a new one. After deciding that I was not going to invest in another fitbit tracker I decided to try one last thing. I created a new Fitbit account and what do you know....it connected right away. Of course you lose all your past data but you dont have to purchase a new device. Try it and see if it works, especially if your tracker seems to be working as it should. It did for me! .
