Galaxy S9+
Android 8.0
Fitbit Charge 3 SE
So I was using the interval timer in the app, and I wanted a 30 sec move and then 10 sec rest, which I set in the app. However, there seems to be a bug that is causing the two numbers to be switched around when it gets sent to the device. I had to set the "rest to 30" and the "move to 10" to get a 30 sec move and 10 sec rest period.
Not sure if this is a known issue, figured I'd let you know. I searched a little bit and didn't see anything.

My Versa 2 shows these correctly.
My wife's Charge 3, despite being set up the same way doesn't.
Both using the latest version of the app on Android.

my intervals worked for about 2 weeks on my charge 3, then they flipped, just this past sunday the 16th of feb

I just used the interval timer for the first time today (29 Feb 2020) and the same thing. In the settings for the workout it says move 30 secs, rest 10 secs, but when I complete the actual workout it has swapped to rest 30 secs, move 10. It’s clearly an issue at FitBit’s end. Can this please be addressed?

Hi,
PROBLEM
With Charge 3 the rest time in the app is the move time in the watch and vice versa what comes to the interval training. In the app the interval training starts with rest time even though, I would guess, it should start with the move time.
DEEPER LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND EVIDENCE
Before you point me to the "turn it off and on again", please see the previous post about this subject:
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Charge-3-Interval-Timer-move-rest-backwards/td-p/3145771
Multiple people have already tried that with no results.
And why am I posting about this subject again even though there is already a thread? As you can see from the link above, this subject was raised already in 2018, people are still desperately trying to get help in that thread, even after a year of total silence from Fitbit, and still the only reply from Fitbit has been "have you tried to turn it off and on again?". So maybe a new thread could wake up Fitbit representatives.
I also found out that it is impossible for me to post pictures here. I tried to add these pictures for several hours on android and two browsers on desktop. That is why I can only give you a link to these five pictures that prove my point very clearly: https://imgur.com/a/J1iZuwP
Picture 1 - Settings of the interval training (app)
I have set my rest time to 1 min 30 sec and move time to 1 min
Picture 2 - Summary of the interval cues after exercise (app)
The exercise starts with rest of 1 min 30 sec followed by 1 min of moving
Picture 3 - Before start of the exercise (watch)
The watch shows that my move time is 1 min 30 sec and rest time 1 min even though in my settings it is the other way around
Picture 4 - After starting the exercise (watch)
The watch shows my exercise starts with move period even though in the interval cues (app) it starts with rest time
Picture 5 - After one minute of the exercise (watch)
I am still in the move part, so my move period is indeed 1 min 30 sec even though I have set the move time to be 1 minute
This was also tested with Ionic. With Ionic the exercise starts in both (app & watch) with move time, as expected, so it works fine. That is, the problem seems to be with Charge 3.
Could you F-I-N-A-L-L-Y take a look into this matter?

Hi,
I already posted this topic once and suddenly yesterday I found my link to this matter directing me to a thread that is totally unrelated to this case.
Link to my original post:
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-3/CALL-FOR-ACTION-Charge-3-Interval-Training-is-a-total-mess/...
As you can see from the link, it was under Charge 3 section (I have also a screenshot of the post being located under the Charge 3 section), but was moved under some time issue that iOS users are facing and has been "solved" according to Fitbit. To be clear, this is NOT a iOS specific bug. I have android. So do many other users that have been reporting this problem since 2018 with no real help from Fitbit as you can see from the link I will post below. Additionally, we have different phone models (mine is Huawei Mate 20 Pro, android version 10). There is also one report that this would affect also iOS users. The common factor seems to be Charge 3.
So, here is the post again as somebody "helped" by moving it to totally unrelated (allegedly solved) thread:

Same, y'all. Charge 3, Android app. And I got a smartwatch specifically for the interval timer!!! learned right away that I either have to set my intervals opposite or read my watch opposite. It's extremely disappointing that Fitbit can't take one hour out of one programmer's schedule to fix this error.

I’ve got this same problem on Fitbit charge 4. It is correct in the settings and on the device but the issue is with the report. Annoying as it shows me the calories burned in my 10 second rest period not in the 50 seconds work period.
My charge 2 didn’t report in this way so I was excited to see the new feature so its a shame it is the wrong way round.
fitbit please can you fix this

Same issue, May 2020, Charge 3, iOS. This is ridiculous. It should be such a simple fix. Even worse is that changes to my interval settings don’t stick (a separate issue that also has been plaguing users forever and not getting fixed). Like Tonkarunner I bought the thing mainly for interval timing, so I will never buy another Fitbit.
