Compatibility with Motorola Moto Z droid

I just changed phones and got a Moto Z Droid. I spend hrs today (away from home) trying to figure out how to make a change on my phone. When I got home I had to make the change on my computer. Then looked up to find out that Moto Z is NOT compatible with my fitbit. Not Happy.

Mine pairs just fine. Sometimes it takes a minute, but all I have to do is re-sync the app or refresh my bluetooth.

yep. I have moved on and bought a Whiting/Nokia and am liking it. The
step count is a bit different, but the watch looks good and does the things
I want-- mostly importantly pairing with my Motorola phone.

Fitbit has missed a business opportunity!

I've had a Moto Z Play since May and my Fitbit connected right up to it and has synched first time/every time since then.

I had seen your post and hoped I would have the same lucky result. Not so
and fitbit couldn't help me figure it out b/c they just stated that Motor Z
is not one of their compatible phones. So I moved on.

Lucky for you.

How did you get this to work?

I upgraded from a Fitbit Surge to a new Ionic this week, my Moto Z Play immediately connected with the Ionic and hasn't missed a beat since.

Never did. Bought a nokia/whiting.

After hours of research and troubleshooting my phone, I never could get my
Fitbit Charge to sync with my Moto Z! As a matter of fact, I just bought a
2014 VW CC R-Line Turbo and I can't even get this stupid Moto Z to sync
with the Bluetooth in my car! I'm so over this phone! Get with the program
Mototolla! You want our money?! Well, make it worth it! I'm so very
disappointed!!

On Verizon, it said Ionic is compatible, but to be sure, I asked Fitbit and
the girl told me no and it's still not listed as compatible on Fitbit site.
So confusing. I wish they would get it together and be on top of this. So,
no issues at all? Because that's a lot of money. I have a moto z force.
Anyone else have force?

Interesting, in addition to synching with my Fitbit Surge and my Ionic my, Moto Z Play synched with my wife's former 2012 GTI, her new Mazda3, my 2006 Acura TL, and my brother's new GTI Sport.  It may well be your phone which is the issue.

I have to the Moto z2 force and music controls work but not notifications 😭

Best Answer

Can you receive notifications on the Moto Z Droid?  I cannot

I get the notifications but it doesn't vibrate. So I have to catch it at the right time if I want to see it on my Fitbit charge 2. Is it because Moto Droid z force isn't on compatible devices list for the Fitbit charge 2?

Been reading how the Moto Z isn't compatible... it was...but I had Verizon send me two new phones thinking it was the phone since I was able to sync previously....Not GOOD FITBIT!

Hmmm, my Moto Z synchs perfectly well; I don't believe this is a Fitbit issue.

This is a Fitbit issue since the Moto Z phones are over a year old and still not on the Compatibility list! I can get mine to sync but sometimes it'll just stop syncing for awhile because of certain updates.

Best Answer

@_sabella_, that list is rarely, if ever, updated.

Which means they are not testing new devices, they only managed to add the
Pixel and Samsung S8 this year.

The whole testing/compatibility team should be sacked.
