Hi, I just noticed that the green and yellow lines have changed and now are all over the place on the graph. All graphs for different days start with a 0:00 hrs. The fluctuations are not at all in line with what I was reading up until today. Anyone experienced this issue?? Thanks

Hi Aiden1,
It is understood that the developers need to keep a lid on just anybody being able to adjust their apps, but they are doing us a disservice in not providing a timely resolution to a miscue like that seen with the July 22, 2022 update.
Thanks again for your efforts in providing a resolution to those of us who are motivated to meddle a bit deeper. It is appreciated.
Cordially,
GordK

Apparently this issue is finally starting to generate some very negative press. We'll see what comes of this in terms of other tech blogs or news media reaching out to Fitbit or Google for a comment but here's the article.

Rokkerz, I'm really glad everything is back to normal for you. Not everybody is up for taking such a dive into the meat and bones of a phone. It can be intimidating if you've never had to mess with it before. Happy that it worked out.
If only Fitbit had been willing to at least slap a band-aid on this. Hopefully it's a lesson going forward.

Dear all,
I think it is time to escalate this situation. Basically, all of a sudden and without any explanation, Fitbit:
1. Started giving us concerning information about our health (sleep health) without any meaningful orientation, which has caused some of us great stress;
2. Modified the previous information about our sleep (again, without any explanation or orientation about what was going on), causing us even more significant concern and stress. For all of us, previous information given by Fitbit showed no high variations in O2 saturation during sleep. From one day to another, without warning, explanation or orientation, Fitbit simply changes (unilaterally replaces!) all that information in our historical records and now tells us that our O2 saturation during sleep was always far from healthy or at least far from an ideal pattern - that is, was Fitbit told us before, for months or years. (Although, hopefully, this is only a consequence of a bug for Android users, and therefore the information given at the moment is basically mistaken or, at least, delivered in a way that induces error, and, once again, great concern and stress).
Therefore, Fitbit:
1. Has caused us great concern and stress, something that was easily avoidable by giving proper orientation or explanations in time.
and, apparently (in case, as we all probably wish, the new information provided is mistaken or improperly delivered as a consequence of an error in the updated version of the Fitbit app for android users)
2. Has not been giving us the information that is supposed to provide to us as Premium users for almost 14 days. And I have no doubts that detailed sleep tracking information, for many of us, is one of the main reasons why we pay for Fitbit Premium monthly.
Moreover, Fitbit is aware of this problem. It is been almost two weeks, and they (being aware of our situation and the fact that this is causing us great concern and stress) have been unable to do something as basic as (i) to confirm to us that all of this is just a consequence of a bug in the Android update (i.e. confirm to us that the new info provided is wrong), or (ii) give us an orientation on how to interpret the new results communicated to us.
This shows a gross disregard for their subscription customers - and a gross disregard for the health of their customers more generally. A poor way to run a large company, which depends on Google.

Could I just point out that this issue isn't just restricted to Premium users. The graphs have changed for those of us who are both Android and non Premium users as well.

I just checked my charts as shown on my laptop, and the actual correct times of going to sleep and waking are shown there - while the app on my tablet shows a midnight start (wrong! I went to sleep around 2am).

That's perhaps a good sign. Please let the forum know if they indeed follow up. I am amazed at how irresponsive Fitbit has been so far.

I'd like to point out that while all that is true, unfortunately both Fitbit and Google are actually well within their rights as described under the Terms of Service we all agreed to.
This is from Fitbit's Terms of service.

My Samsung S10+ did an update on July 5, 2022. Since that update, the blood blood oxygen saturation graph has slipped out and looks like it's having a heart attack. I have shutdown my phone and done a restart and I've gone through everything I can think of on my FitBit app but nothing seems to be helping.
Has anyone else had this issue or does anyone have any recommendations on how to fix it?

They generally expect it to work
well but they make no realistic guarantee that it will. In virtually every
screen that displays charts or metrics collected by the watch, it has a
disclaimer warning against taking it as bonafide medical advice or an
indication of a disease/illness.

The 0 start doesn't mean midnight, just whenever you went to sleep. The end number is the number of hours you slept.

Yep, the usual indemnity and arbitration clauses at the very end of the TOS. It's almost unheard of for a service contact to be absent these things.

The ECG features have FDA clearance which is a bit of a contentious point. Some people might see that as unwittingly having crossed that divide between fitness device vs. medical one whether Fitbit realizes that or not. There have been many articles written about whether fitness trackers should be considered medical devices or not based on all of their ever-expanding capabilities. It's some really compelling stuff to read and it's part of why people put so much weight on the sleep data.
