My husband bought me a Fitbit Versa at Macy’s and neither of us are sure how long ago that was. Right now, even after cleaning the batter contact points and putting it back on the charger it remains “dead”. I can’t get anything up on the screen.
Prior to this it was stuck on an exercise and would not let me log off or more back to the main screen it was like it was frozen.

I can get all the data except from the exercise tile - it tries and then says it 'keeps stopping'. I have cleared the cache and turned off bluetooth and re-started my phone several times. Still the same is happening. If i clear the data will i lose everything? Any other suggestions welcome. Carole

Ditto! I was looking for a solution for iPhone users, but there does not appear to be one. Good luck!

I do not have an apps setting under settings. I can only access the app itself but there isnt anything about storage.

This fix doesn't work because my device is completely dead. It started happening on Friday (4/24) and then yesterday it just completely died. I tried the other suggestions on other boards to reset my device, but to no avail. So now my phone doesn't even recognize the device.

I’ve tried your suggestion but my Alta won’t work. Only while it’s on the charger. Another suggestion?

Does clearing the data also clear all your Fitbit data ? Food logs/exercise/weight etc ?

All my data was still there after I logged back into the app on my phone.

I have a fix on my Android phone and it works with no loss of previous data! Messaged Fitbit on Facebook and got this reply:

3. Tap on Apps.
4. Tap on Fitbit.
5. Tap on Storage.
6. Tap on Clear Data.
7. Reboot your phone.
8. Open the Fitbit app and log back in. Don't forget to set your location service settings as well.
