The other day she went for a run and tool the kids for a walk I to went for a walk did 10000 steps and she did 1000 in the day. Every day she walks more than me and I beat her in steps. I'm messaging as she does not have time.

Hi.  I don't work for Fitbit.  This is just a community post website where people try and help one another with their Fitbit problems.  I hope you get your problem sorted soon.

I have a fitbit Charge 3.   I love it but in the last couple weeks it seems that when I go to exercise like Walk, or Bike,  it is taking an extremely long time to connect to my iPhone.  Prior to this it generally connected within a few seconds.. Now it can take several minutes.  I just got back from a 9 mile bike ride and prior to starting I waited till it connected. (after a few minutes)  Then, after about 2 mile it quit logging my route.   Not sure what is going on.  So, it takes quite some time to connect then now seems to disconnect after a while.   This all worked before a few weeks ago...   It might be the new app on the phone or..... Maybe there is a problem with the fitbit charge 3.  I got it for christmas as  gift.. Should be fine.

By deleting DATA in the app, will all exercise history also be deleted? Is it like starting a new account all over again?

I cleared both storage and cache and all my historical data is still there.

But if you go down that route, you lose ALL your data!! I, for one, dont particularly want to lose my record of what iv done each week. Will this issue be resolved without having to clear data?

Thanks

Hi is there anyway to fix the app from closing when opening the exercise apart from clearing data as i dont want to loose all my progress

Thank you.  It is working for now!!

When I go to do that there is a warning to the effect that all my stored (fitbit) data will be deleted.  Is this the case, any way round it?  Is it possible to role back the software to before you broke it?

Hi - I have a Fitbit versa, and a Samsung s10. My app on my phone is unable to open and my email / pw is valid. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, lots of different stuff. Would love some guidance!

If we are clearing the data from the app and log back in with our details will we lose our precious records of exercise sleep etc? Or will they stay?

Did you lose all your fitbit data by doing the workaround?

Hi, if I follow your suggested resolution will that lose all my history? I don't want to lose that if possible but it is very irritating getting kicked out.

Thanks.

I didn't lose any of my recorded information.  Was just back to how it was before the exercise section of the app crashed

I haven't suggested a course of action.  I followed someone else's advice about what to do which involved deleting the data on the Fitbit App and then using my password to log back into my Fitbit account.  It worked straight away and I lost none of my exercise data etc.  I have an Alta HR and an android phone - don't know if it works for others

I had over 8000 steps disappear for yesterday (I have a Versa). I reviewed your instructions and I don't see Fitbit > storage on my iPhone so the instructions do not work. Will I get back the 8000 steps lost yesterday? I have logged out and in multiple times and to no avail. Bummed!
