I have a surge paired to a Huawei p8. I have tried all the different fixes listed in various forums. I have notification on in the all on my phone set to Huawei contacts. I have notifications on on my surge. I get absolutely nothing. Anyone with a P8 solved this problem. I have later Android and fitbit versions.

@petracarroll yes, it still does sync. It is completely via bluetooth. My office premise is not allowing phones to be connected via wifi, so me and his mobile are in different networks.

Also bought the Fitbit charge 2 . I don't get it synced with my Huawei P9 lite .
Tried again today with the instructions that the shop where I bought gave to me.
No success , I think Huawei is a wellknown company and I can't understand that this isn't working.
I 'm glad that I still have the time to sent the Fitbit back and get my money back.
Very disappointed

I have tried that. No luck. I may have to get a different fitness monitor. I'm not going to get a different phone because I just got this one.

Huawei P9 Lite has Bluetooth 4.1 (not 4.0), like most phones and laptops nowadays... My phone cannot recognize my Charge 2 even when you hold it on top of it....as far as my P9 Lite is concerned, my Fitbit doesn't exist...
My laptop was in and out of repairs last month, so I have not been able to use Fitbit.
It is very frustrating to have to wait so long for compatibility with my phone....I'm seriously losing faith here that it ever will....It is causing a lot of stress and frustration.

This is really stupid. Fitbit Charge 2 is pretty new but it has sync problem with all new smartphones. Without checking the recentie of Fitbit, today I bought Huawei P 10 Lite en tried the hole evening to sync them. Tommorrow I'll return this Fitbit back to the store. I have enough of it!!!

Fitbit somehow doesn't give a crap about his customers anymore.
They can see that there are so many people unhappy with this situation yet they dont give a **ahem**!!!
I will not recommend fitbit at all!!!!

I've finally had a response from a higher level which admits there's no prospect of getting the issue with the P9 Lite solved and I should contact my retailer for a refund!
Unfortunately for me my retailer already offered me an exchange and I chose to exchange my Flex2 for an Alta so that I could at least monitor my steps while I waited for the update that I assumed would be weeks away. After all, we were constantly told to be patient and that the engineers were working hard to add new phones to the list.
No new phones have been added for months - look at the other threads and you'll see huge problems with top end phones like Google Pixel and LG G4. The only Android compatible phones you can currently buy are Samsung S6 or S7.
Fitbit seem to have totally given up on Android support, which is appalling given that we all bought our devices assuming (from the packaging) that they'd work with Android phones.
I feel totally mislead and let down by Fitbit. I should have stuck with my original Jawbone Up Move!

I have a fitbit charge 2 it doesn't connect via Bluetooth on my new Huawei p9 .it wouldn't pair on my windows phone either does it work on any phone please let me know .I think these people are rip off merchants
@Willer wrote:Hey everyone. Yes, I posted this in October last year see if Fitbit would do something so that I could use my Flex2 with my Huawei P9 Lite but so far nothing has happened.. I am also very cross because I literally wasted my money... I bought a Fitbit that I can't use (unless I buy an iPhone or an S7). I thought tech companies were very responsive to what is said in forums, but Fitbit seems to be a big exception, all we can hope for is someone else showing up to say "we are working very hard in this, meanwhile.." and some euphemism to say you should get a new phone or just figure out some other way to use it -.-

Very disappointed, have just had to return the Fitbit Charge 2 that I just bought as there is no sign of it communicating with my Huawei P9 Lite. Surely this would be simple to sort out as this is a very popular phone. I have not had any problem connecting with other devices using Bluetooth.

This is not solved!!!
I've just spent another half hour cross-checking how many currently available (Carphone Warehouse UK) Android phones are listed as compatible. As expected, out of 56 phones ONLY SAMSUNG S6 OR S7 ARE COMPATIBLE.
Fitbit you should be ashamed of this- (well clearly you are as you have removed the list which would allow customers to check quickly rather than having to search one model at a time) it must be embarrassing to have 2013 models listed but not current ones!
Given that most people change phones every couple of years it is likely that anyone changing their Android phone is unlikely to be able to pair their Fitbit. Even the new Samsung S8 isn't supported.
There are multiple threads on these forums for different phones, all complaining about compatibility. How on Earth can you justify marketing these devices as Android compatible?

Agree with above in general.
Have you noticed how all these problems are not referred in any of the reviews we've seen online?
