Since latest update when I enter my weight it will not accept stones. From setting changed to kg that works. Set back to stones only option to input is pounds when entering new weight. Same on both android devices i use tried logging out and in, reset all devices too no change

Thanks will stop trying to fix and hope they do not update and create further bugs.

Same here. Is this a bug, or another example of Google removing functionality if they think the number of users affected is too small to make a fuss ?

When my fitbit expires, I will definitely be buying a different brand

Hi,

Any idea why the ability to enter/log weight in Stone + decimal pounds (ie pound + fraction of a pound eg:3.7) has been removed pls?

Or is this configurable shoewhere.

Now has to be in decimal pounds only.

My scales only shows Stones + Decimal Pounds - so now a calculation is required just to enter my weight.

Fb says its a bug others on Google have same problem, if it is a bug on past experience fb will wait ages before sorting. Not very good on customer relations

Today I converted my weight to pounds and entered it in the App and  hey presto  it was converted to stones and pounds. Bizarre to say the least.Sent from my Galaxy

You've paid for the technology but have to do the calculations yourself -
that's absurd

On the android device you are using, you will have an app icon for fitbit. If you don't, you'll need to download and install it. Then long-press on that icon. A set of quick access options will appear - one will be log weight.

This may be dependent on the version of Android you are using however. 😞

Hello @bossredman and welcome to the Community.  The good news is that you don’t have a firmware problem.  There is a new bug in the Fitbit app affecting users who weigh in stone.  Fitbit is aware, but there is no timeframe for a fix.

Definitely some half-arsed development and third rate product testing going on there….. 😊

Mine is doing the same. It's so annoying. I have to work out the pounds before I enter the amount.

Also, it's showing me as 10 stone 14.  You can't be 10 stone 14.....that's 11 stone! 🙄

I'm having the same issue. It's so annoying. Really going off fit bits now and trying to get real help is a no go

Same issue, hopefully the bug will be addressed soon.

Saying it "only" affects users who weigh in stones is trivialising it.

We use stones in the UK. Are you saying the UK market is not important enough to implement a fix?

Best Answer

yes me too and my aria scale is no longer syncing with it - I can see the page refreshes as it trys to record the weight but cant do it

I am around about the 5 stone loss mark but I can't tell if I've hit it due to recent update. All I can see is average weight. No starting weight or total loss. It's so frustrating! I'm truly gutted as I usually screenshot my overall loss to share success with family and I've no idea what I've lost or where I'm at.

Hello
If you see the above comment when it shows the weight click on the dots at
the top and go to manage data I think it says.. explained better in another
comment on this thread and then you can add it in manually exactly how it
is on the scales.. it's by no means perfect but it helps! Well done on
weight loss.. I'm close to 4st and I'm so angry at Fitbit for changing
everything.. my scales don't sync to the app so entering it manually almost
feels like I'm cheating.. I'm not but I hate it either way! X

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and taking the time to troubleshoot the Fitbit app. I've gone ahead and escalated your information to our team so they can investigate, as well as identify a solution as soon as possible.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and I appreciate your feedback. Please know this thread will be updated as soon as we have more information available.

I hope they can sort it soon as it's not even accurate when you are forced to put it in lbs and it converts it to stone as that's what your preference is. Nor can you see your progress so frustrating
