Just incase anyone is running around thinking they've enabled location services yet still their fitbit won't sync try checking
> ...> SCANNING> BLUETOOTH > then enable Bluetooth scanning otherwise you'll go mad and want to throw something in anger 😉
Would have been nice if fitbit had put these details into their own help criteria rather than just saying you need to switch on location services
Maybe you should give me a job fitbit?!

@Darks1de Welcome and thank you for participating in our Forums! I appreciate you sharing this tip for all our members as it could help someone in the same situation. I just want to add that like @SunsetRunner I don't have this option enabled and I still can sync my tracker with my phone (Moto G 2nd generation brought from Amazon running unmodified Marshmallow released from Google). Still you are more than welcome to try this option but it isn't actually required to sync your device.

I'll be around!

Can you look into or tell us what is happening with the current FitBit devices sync issue EVERY Samsung Galaxy S5 is apparently having? This seemed to start with the Marshmallow update by Verizon 4 days ago on 8/8/17?

Same problem with my S5, which hasn't synced since 8/7. Just got a replacement Fitbit Surge yesterday and now I can't get the new one to connect to my S5 to complete the setup. At least now I know it's not just me that's having a problem.
