RESOLVED 02/28/17: New Dashboard is not updating stats after sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Fitbit Update 02/28/2017: As this issue was resolved with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 I will be closing this thread.

If you run into this issue in a new instance, please create a new post in the Android board and reference this thread. Thank you!

Fitbit Update 01/26/2017: We've just released the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 which includes a fix for the issue where the new Dashboard is not updating stats after sync.

Please update to the latest version of the app and let me know if the issue has been resolved for you. Looking forward to hearing your updates! Thanks for the continued patience.

Fitbit Update 11/21/2016: Some Android users who have opted-in to the new Android Dashboard redesign experience have reported that their Dashboard is not updating their steps and other stats after a successful sync.

Our Android team is aware of this issue with the preview and is currently investigating the root cause. In the meantime, I recommend logging into the Fitbit.com online Dashboard, completing a sync, and confirming that your step activity is updating in the activity log tab.

In addition, you can temporarily switch back to the old Dashboard to see instant updates. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Account Tab" in the new Dashboard design.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select the "Advanced Settings" option.
  3. Click on "Switch back to the Dashboard" button at the top.

I will be sharing status updates here, so keep an eye out for more news.

I have been having the same problem. I suggest that everyone stick with the old dashboard until this is fixed.

Just go to Account, then Settings, then Advanced Settings and you should see a button to switch back to the old dashboard.

I had been these issue on my phone as well.
I tried to pull down to sync, app showed me sync a moment ago, actually app hadn't completely sync. still sync or sync error.
According to my experience, I want to tell you my solution way.
when I seen sync a moment ago noti, I didn't try to sync several time. I went to bluetooth setting on my andriod phone, Click on my fitbit device and "Forget" my fitbit. and open fitbit app . Pulled down to sync. It was going to sync . BUT,
You couldn't get any noti from your phone. After that you must do replaced you device again from your Fitbit app and pair agin.
**** I don't know how many time It can be OK. This solution had pretty worked on my updated fitbit app and firmware.
Thank you.

I switched back to the old dashboard because of the problems with sync...I don't like the new dashboard anyway. I'm still having problems with syncing despite restarting my fitbit charge. I have not been able to sync for the past 3 days.

I have noticed that when using the new dashboard, it does not show synced information. As you can see, the dashboard is showing what was synced around 12:40ish this afternoon and I gave the new dashboard about 4 minutes to update but it didn't, yet the old dashboard is showing the correct synced information. Whats up with the new dashboard not syncing correctly??

this is what was synced at 12:42 or so this afternoon & still shows after syncing a few minutes ago.this is what was synced at 12:42 or so this afternoon & still shows after syncing a few minutes ago. This is what should be showing on new dashboard after syncing a few minutes ago. This is what should be showing on new dashboard after syncing a few minutes ago.

It is not so much a problem of the dashboard not syncing correctly, @ChistineE, as it is a matter of the screen not refreshing. Different phones, and even defferent models or revisions of the same phone, have different screen refresh rates & schedules.  I have found that if I force it to another screen, such as opening one of the detailed stats, and then going back to the dashboard, it will refresh the screen with the correct data. The data from your tracker has synced with the Fitbit server, but the dashboard isn't showing the updated stats yet.

I like the new look of the new dashboard. However, it's a shame that the tiles don't hold the stats of the day you are looking at and just the current day. It would be much more intuitive for this to happen, I believe. If I'm looking at yesterday I would expect to see food, water and other stats for yesterday, perhaps for quick comparison.

It's been several days since I've been here - but I'm glad that the developers see there is an issue with the new dashboard.  Since I have a Flex 2, I don't have a step counter on my arm - so if the dashboard requires that I wait several minutes to see an accurate count, or if I have to go through several steps to sync then come to website, that will be a dealbreaker ... and I like that I finally have a fitbit wristband that doesn't cause me to breakout.  🙂

And, yes, I am on the correct version of the software and yes, I've tried all the different things suggested, and I still don't see the counter update realtime at any point as I walk like the 'old' one currently does.

Beats the response I got. My unit is less than 7 months old. Since the update on Nov. 18th, my android cannot sync or find the tracker. What does customer support say? Your unit has been paired since 2014 but we'll happily sell you a new one at 25% off. We'll, I'm guessing when my daughter purchased it at a local retailer, they took it back as a return and resold it. My daughter still paid full price for it. I've sent screenshots of first day (May 13, 2016) and they still insist that all those days of zeroes belong to me. Of course, my 17yr old daughter did not save the receipt past the 45 day store warranty period. I've been told to force stop and restart twice. If that didn't work, uninstall and re-install. This has been done three times. I'm now told by support that I'm running an outdated version of the app. WHAT?!?! I updated less than ten days ago and have re-installed three times. At least my unit works. I just miss having the ability times check my progress on my phone rather than looking at my One. But, that's really no big deal....just an on my phone more than I look at my waistband, pocket, or bra strap.

Hi
I have the same issue with the old dashboard as well. It stopped to sync yesterday morning and then worked in the evening. Today it stopped at 14.12 and won't sync.
Any tips anyone?

Many thanks
Chris

My charge 2 hasn't synced for a couple of days, Fitbit tells me it's because of my new phone, which doesn't make any sense, because it worked great for the 3weeks that I've had this, & it won't sync on any of our tablets or iPad, but they still say it's my new phone?

Have you turned Bluetooth off and on, @C.R.? Have you verified that Location Serivces is turned on?  I have not experienced any problems with syncing since upgrading to the new dashboard. When I open the app, the Connection Symbol above the Charge 2 battery icon starts flashing. Soon, the sync status line starts moving across the screen right below the Fitbit name and Charge 2 symbol. As soon as that status line reaches the right side of the screen, the sync is completed and the connection symbol changes from flashing to solid, indicating that the tracker is connected.

Yes, I have tried all those things .
It is obvious from the number of comments, that there is a problem that
cannot be fixed by the customer.
