Fitbit Update 01/26/2017: We've just released the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 which includes a fix for the issue where the new Dashboard is not updating stats after sync.
Please update to the latest version of the app and let me know if the issue has been resolved for you. Looking forward to hearing your updates! Thanks for the continued patience.
Fitbit Update 11/21/2016: Some Android users who have opted-in to the new Android Dashboard redesign experience have reported that their Dashboard is not updating their steps and other stats after a successful sync.
Our Android team is aware of this issue with the preview and is currently investigating the root cause. In the meantime, I recommend logging into the Fitbit.com online Dashboard, completing a sync, and confirming that your step activity is updating in the activity log tab.
In addition, you can temporarily switch back to the old Dashboard to see instant updates. To do so, follow these steps:
I will be sharing status updates here, so keep an eye out for more news.

I have noticed that when using the new dashboard, it does not show synced information. As you can see, the dashboard is showing what was synced around 12:40ish this afternoon and I gave the new dashboard about 4 minutes to update but it didn't, yet the old dashboard is showing the correct synced information. Whats up with the new dashboard not syncing correctly??
this is what was synced at 12:42 or so this afternoon & still shows after syncing a few minutes ago.
This is what should be showing on new dashboard after syncing a few minutes ago.

It is not so much a problem of the dashboard not syncing correctly, @ChistineE, as it is a matter of the screen not refreshing. Different phones, and even defferent models or revisions of the same phone, have different screen refresh rates & schedules. I have found that if I force it to another screen, such as opening one of the detailed stats, and then going back to the dashboard, it will refresh the screen with the correct data. The data from your tracker has synced with the Fitbit server, but the dashboard isn't showing the updated stats yet.

I like the new look of the new dashboard. However, it's a shame that the tiles don't hold the stats of the day you are looking at and just the current day. It would be much more intuitive for this to happen, I believe. If I'm looking at yesterday I would expect to see food, water and other stats for yesterday, perhaps for quick comparison.

It's been several days since I've been here - but I'm glad that the developers see there is an issue with the new dashboard. Since I have a Flex 2, I don't have a step counter on my arm - so if the dashboard requires that I wait several minutes to see an accurate count, or if I have to go through several steps to sync then come to website, that will be a dealbreaker ... and I like that I finally have a fitbit wristband that doesn't cause me to breakout. 🙂
And, yes, I am on the correct version of the software and yes, I've tried all the different things suggested, and I still don't see the counter update realtime at any point as I walk like the 'old' one currently does.

Have you turned Bluetooth off and on, @C.R.? Have you verified that Location Serivces is turned on? I have not experienced any problems with syncing since upgrading to the new dashboard. When I open the app, the Connection Symbol above the Charge 2 battery icon starts flashing. Soon, the sync status line starts moving across the screen right below the Fitbit name and Charge 2 symbol. As soon as that status line reaches the right side of the screen, the sync is completed and the connection symbol changes from flashing to solid, indicating that the tracker is connected.
