Fitbit Update 02/28/2017: As this issue was resolved with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 I will be closing this thread.
If you run into this issue in a new instance, please create a new post in the Android board and reference this thread. Thank you!
Fitbit Update 01/26/2017: We've just released the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 which includes a fix for the issue where the new Dashboard is not updating stats after sync.
Please update to the latest version of the app and let me know if the issue has been resolved for you. Looking forward to hearing your updates! Thanks for the continued patience.
Fitbit Update 11/21/2016: Some Android users who have opted-in to the new Android Dashboard redesign experience have reported that their Dashboard is not updating their steps and other stats after a successful sync.
Our Android team is aware of this issue with the preview and is currently investigating the root cause. In the meantime, I recommend logging into the Fitbit.com online Dashboard, completing a sync, and confirming that your step activity is updating in the activity log tab.
In addition, you can temporarily switch back to the old Dashboard to see instant updates. To do so, follow these steps:
I will be sharing status updates here, so keep an eye out for more news.

In to report the same thing. New dashboard will not show updated info. Old dashboard will show it.
Even switching interfaces back and forth doesn't update the numbers in the new dashboard while showing correctly in the old.
Android 6. Charge HR 122. Moto X play, and Moto E 2nd gen.

I hit some odd problems with both versions of the dashboard, guess this to be unrelated to this thread exactly but may help someone else having problems that appear to be a bit out of the norm.
My internet providors router also generates a public wifi network as well as it's own closed network. I have found some times the sync device (phone) has connected to the public variant, if you do not auth this connection the fit bit app will fail with any IO to the fitbit server, if you auth the connection the fitbit app is happy (this also applies to using other public WIFI that you need to auth to).
Using the Android App with a non auth'ed wifi network the following behavor is noted :-
if you 'pull down' to sync the progress bar hangs at about 30%, until you auth the network, and in most cases the app needs to be restarted. If you use account->device->active_device->sync the indicator just spins infinitum.
Perhaps the app needs to check if you are auth'ed to the network & if not display a suitable message indicating the user needs to logon to that network. I have also noticed if you have a connection (non auth) the fan with a question mark showing at the top of the screen mobile data is disabled (no sync thro that then ?) but if you turn off wifi, mobile data then syncs the fitbit
Hardware :-
Charge 2
Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 android 6
Home Router BT Homehub 5
routers tested in public places ... your guess is as good as mine.
As I am new to fitbit (I have only had a device for a week) I felt the old interface was sooo last decade and are more happy using the new one just iron out the bugs & it will be good. last point which board do you use to add FR for the new interface ?

I'm using Android, have updated to the new dashboard - which is KOOL and I like it. I too am unable to get the steps to sync, but they're showing on my linked Weight Watcher app.
Prefer to see the hourly steps letting me know I got my 250 in per hour. It's sad when I'm not motivated because I can't see my hourly steps. Guess I need to work on that! Thank you for working on this fix!!

@Sweetoutcast @ctd70 @KealyPa Let's try to restart your tracker and give syncing another opportunity.
If that doesn't resolve the syncing issue, let's try the steps in this troubleshooting help article. Let me know if you get stuck at any particular step in the process or are able to get back to successfully syncing.
@GRRRRR @Tiger8snow Thank you for reporting the issue as stats not updating on the new Dashboard but successfully updating on the old Dashboard. Can you please answer a couple of questions and possibly share a screenshot or video of the issue as @ZhuFitbit has requested here? That will be super helpful in further investigating this issue and getting a fix as quickly as possible. Thank you in advance!
@JimRUK Thank you for sharing the details of your experience and how you resolved the issue. I am sure others here with the same symptoms will find your instructions helpful. Thank you again!
@Dee-Dee701 In the meantime, I recommend switching over to the old Dashboard by doing the following:
Will be updating this thread when I have an update and are getting closer to a permanent fix.

Switch back to the Dashboard is just a change to the interface, not a change to the last release before new release. That's why the same sync problem are always there. Same release = Same problems.
I send and receive over 10 email from Fitbit Support (French) and the sync problem is always there. They can't do nothing helping this issue. Severel minutes before sync start to sync.
Before the last update by 16 november, my Charge 2 was an excellent tracker. Since that fateful date, it is a watch that no longer works as a tracker... but very good "clock"
Now, I will lokk for a Vivosmart HR Plus from Garmin.
Sorry Fitbit, it's chrismas time for Garmin.

My app is not recording any of my steps or sleep data - not since 27/11/16. This keeps happening as well and is very frustrating. Can't check on PC as in work and bluetooth dongle is at home.
I have version 2.38 on Android 6.0 (samsung s6). It is a fitbit flex
I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled, the fitbit has full battery, I've turned location on, but it is not showing any record on either the old or new dashboard.
If this is an ongoing issue then I won't be buying the new version (Charge 2) I had hoped I could in the new year and instead will be turning to alternative companies.

Fitbit suggested similar, but also included powering off my phone - this was Friday 12/2. This did not help.
Yesterday the steps were syncing hit & miss.

My sync issues relates to issue #1 (ZhuFibit), but I have not switched back to the old dashboard (ever). Answers for more info: Sync is slow always. Several times the sync will show it’s completed and the steps have not changed (displayed) in the new dashboard since the last sync. Sync is done by opening the phone app and/or pulling down the sync manually. All day sync is off (battery drain). No switching between old and new dashboards. If the sync doesn’t work for several hours or after 4 to 5 tries, restarting the phone seems to work.

Are you also aware that the Fitbit Charge 2 counts steps while you're driving comma approximately 40 steps per mile? I would like this issue addressed. I don't know where to make this comment except on the Fitbit app review.

I am not aware of your Charge 2 counting 40 steps per mile driven, largely because mine does not do that on a regular basis. If I am driving my pickup truck, the Charge 2 will tend to log some steps due to the roughness of the truck. But, if I am driving the car it never records steps. So, that 40 steps per mile is totally dependent upon your vehicle and your driving style. Remember, the tracker counts steps based on your arm movement

Neither procedure works. No sync option in furniture.com and no advance settings or switchback options in account tab
