RESOLVED 02/28/17: New Dashboard is not updating stats after sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Fitbit Update 02/28/2017: As this issue was resolved with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 I will be closing this thread.

If you run into this issue in a new instance, please create a new post in the Android board and reference this thread. Thank you!

Fitbit Update 01/26/2017: We've just released the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 which includes a fix for the issue where the new Dashboard is not updating stats after sync.

Please update to the latest version of the app and let me know if the issue has been resolved for you. Looking forward to hearing your updates! Thanks for the continued patience.

Fitbit Update 11/21/2016: Some Android users who have opted-in to the new Android Dashboard redesign experience have reported that their Dashboard is not updating their steps and other stats after a successful sync.

Our Android team is aware of this issue with the preview and is currently investigating the root cause. In the meantime, I recommend logging into the Fitbit.com online Dashboard, completing a sync, and confirming that your step activity is updating in the activity log tab.

In addition, you can temporarily switch back to the old Dashboard to see instant updates. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Account Tab" in the new Dashboard design.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select the "Advanced Settings" option.
  3. Click on "Switch back to the Dashboard" button at the top.

I will be sharing status updates here, so keep an eye out for more news.

I am the same. It's now coming up to a week since my fitbit last synced.
I'm loathed to re-add the device because a) I'll loose all the data since
Thursday and b) there's no guarantee that it will sync, meaning I'll have a
useless gadget round my arm. Please can tech support look into it

I've tried un-installing, and re-installing again. It has gone back to the old dashboard and still no sync. First I got the message that it was waiting to sync, then I got the message that it couldn't connect for live data.

I have to go back and forth with my phone, and my hubby's I-pad, been doing this for months.

Spent 30 minutes or so chatting with Tech Support. Very helpful and the syncing issue was resolved. It required a few steps and trying several different fixes to finally get it to work. Well worth the time.

I have Version 2.41 on my Android and I'm finding that my stats on my FitBit ONE are not updating properly to the Dashboard - on neither my Android App or my PC app.  I can see my daily steps are reflected in the Activity Log, after syncing today (>28,000 steps) but my Dashboard reflects only 94-steps for the day.    I'm also noticing that the activity level (leaves) no longer works at all.   No matter how many steps I do in a day, this never indicates any change.   I just purchased this 19 Oct 2016.   Likely can't take it back to the store...  Any help?

I just switched from IPhone to Motorola Moto G. My iPhone app will sync my steps and my Motorola (Android) is not. If I sync with my iPhone, my Moto G will sync after, but only then. I have the newest version downloaded on my Android phone. Please help!

@Deebee1 @Nealley @PenB17 @C.R. @helmichpm @MrEulberg We recently released a new version of the Fitbit App for Android, version 2.42 which I recommend downloading and attempting to sync with. Hoping that helps get you back on track.

@MrEulberg I also recommend removing the tracker from the iOS device when attempting to sync with your Android mobile device as having it paired to both devices may cause some syncing interference. Give that a try and let me know if that helps improve your experience.

Mine has went back to hesitating to sync saying cannot connect to fitbit.com. The battery issue was my fault so that has been resolved.

My problem with the dashboard is in regards to logging food/water intake and progress towards budget of calories.

Yesterday I logged food and water and that day (yesterday) the dashboard correctly showed these values in the respective calorie budget and water tiles at the bottom section of the dashboard.

Today, I click the left arrow to go back to yesterday to see how i did towards budget of calories and water goal.  The calorie budget and water tiles show 0, nothing consumed.  After I go back to today and log values for today, then these show for those tiles.

ALL TILES should be day specific, meaning as you go back to different days these should refresh with values for those days.  This works correctly on the web dashboard.  As of now the Android Dashboard is basically worthless because outside of steps, miles, calories, minutes and floors at the top portion of the dashboard, all of individual tiles in the lower portion of the dashboard reflect current day activity ONLY.

Similarly, one of the new features in the App that the app pushes is to set goals for sleep.  In the dashboard the sleep tile should display progress towards goal for the day.  I.e. if goal is 8 hours and you only got 6, then similar to progress towards other goals it should show a circle (or half circle) with 8 on one end and fill it 3/4 of the way to reflect 6 hours meaning you were short.  The dashboard should provide you the ability to see progress towards your goals (like it already does with steps, minutes, miles, etc) and EACH tile on the dashboard (with exception of excercise as that's over a 5 day period) should show you that day's stats as you navigate to different days.  The Old android dashboard used to work like this, this is broken with new dashboard.

My fitbit charge 2 decided yesterday to stop syncing.  I can still add food and water but really the product becomes useless without the data you need.
