Hiya. The steps i have taken during the day are not showing on the dashboard. They are showing on my fitbit but upon opening the app on my phone it's not updating with the steps. This is a recent thing and had been working ok. Any tips on what's happening? Is this a bug. ( my phone is a samsung, so could be an android issue?)

I too am having the same issue. A fitbit app update in 10 Aug 2018 seems to be the problem. Look in the Google app store and read the reviews in last few days. Be patient. They will fix it.

See https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Fitbit-App-version-2-76-steps-calories-reverting-to-zero... for latest info.
It is a know problem with the latest Android update. Apparently it is still updating the Fitbit database as can be seen by looking at the fitbit.com dashboard, so at least the data is not getting lost.

The app (on Samsung) is syncing but showing 0 steps. Step number shows on computer but not on app.

This is the issue I've been having! For me to actually see my steps (without clicking on the steps counter in the app), I have to close the app, turn off my phone for like 5 minutes and then restart everything and then I can see everything in the app. But I can only do it once a day.. and just restarting my phone with the restart option doesn't help. It's actually gotten to where I can only sync my Fitbit once a day to where I don't have the issue, which is kind of annoying because I like to see just how my body is during my workouts to see where I need to adjust if needed. Hopefully this helps! I can't wait for the next update!

I'm also having the same issue on a galaxy 8 plus.
It coincides with the latest fitbit software release 22.22.55.2.
This software release has a feature to disable live data. If you log into the web app and go to settings and pick your device there is now a live data enable/disable switch.
The phone app is still showing 0 steps and 0 calories burned even with the switch set to enabled.
Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the phone app. when it first opens, steps and calories burned displayed briefly and both went back to 0.
From the previous post it sounds like it is a known issue.
