Well that actually stinks!  Everytime I upgrade my phone to where I think the Fitbit will sync, then they upgrade their systems!

I went nuts a couple of days ago because suddenly my Samsung J7 (I use Straight Talk) wouldn't sync. Someone wrote me to shut the blue tooth on my phone off, then back on, and WALLAH!  All was well.  Try it.  I hope it works for you too.  I just don't know the "why" of it not syncing in the first place, so suddenly and overnight.  But it's fine now.

Fitbit updates or your phone may just need a reboot.  It is a computer and every once in a while it gets out of sync and needs a reboot/reset.It can take several tries. That is just technology.Have a Great Day,Bob Burtisraburtis@gmail.com201-704-0863Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I did reboot my phone, shut if off and one, did the same to my iPad, and
turned bluetooth off and on a few times on the phone and IPad, but the 4th
time, when someone suggested it, for the heck of it I shut the bluetooth on
my phone off and on again and that time it worked. And still working
today. My phone did not have an update so have no clue why the problem
happened in the first place but I do think it's since FitBit did the
update. BTW don't like the new layout on the app.

Do you know when it is going to be compatible?

After I did what someone told me to do, turn the bluetooth on my phone off
and on again, it worked just fine. However, it still sometimes has trouble
finding the device (watch) but it's working ok otherwise now. So,
evidently it is compatible. Just turn the blue tooth off and on again, and
do it again and again if necessary, until everything works. I'm fine now,
and considering moving up to the new Versa HR.

The J7 has been out for a longtime.

If it is not compatible by now chances are it is not on there to do list.

Not sure why, but mine is working. I just had one day last week when it
wouldn't sync and said "not compatible." After I turned the bluetooth off
and on all was well. Sometimes I have to sync a few times but it works.

I don't know. Really makes me upset though. Bought a better tablet to sync something else. I bought my phone in the summer. Now my tablet and phone won't sync!

How did you end up getting it to work?

After trial and error, I uninstalled fitbit on my phone, restarted my phone, reinstalled FitBit (did not lose any info - that was what worried me) , then attached the charger to my FitBit and hit that little button on the USB cord the 3 times, slowly, got back into fit bit and it suddenly worked.  It's worked ever since.  Hope this helps.  Make sure your phone is charged well.  The other day I had to call FitBit because it wasn't updating, but I didn't realize I hadn't charged my phone at night (cord not in right) and it needed charging - then all was well.

I appreciate the suggestions & that many of us are still trying to get our Fitbit devices to work. BUT REALLY, should we have to work so hard? It seems many Fitbit users don't know why what they tried worked! Too many iffy possibilities that didn't work for me.  I dumped my fitbit.  I'm soooo done with Fitbit customer service and the device!! Never again for me, life is too short to be so frustrated! Thank you all for your suggestions.
