Does anyone use the fitbit Alta successfully with a samsung galaxy j7 unlocked phone?

I have to admit that I'm not sure which of the steps I did worked.  I just tried everything.  And I too was ready to dump it.  I still rarely get the detailed in depth sleep readings, but I really bought it for the heart rate, steps and to get me moving 30 min. a day.  I sometimes consider moving up but then this is working, for now.

I have never had any issues with connecting to my j7 until today. It appears the new version of the app is causing issues?
