Just got the S8+ yesterday, but my Blaze no longer receives notifications from my device. I've reset the Blaze, removed it from my account, gone through setup, restarted the phone and Blaze, uninstalled the app, and every other troubleshooting recommendation on the forums. All permissions are granted. No luck. Everything else syncs. Is this just a compatibility issue?

My fit bit is now synced up to my s8 but the battery on my bit drains too quick. It died on me during the night and my alarm on the watch didn't wake me. It didn't even warn me it was low on battery. Not a fan anymore.
Best AnswerOut of interest what did you replace it with? I'm looking for a new one but not sure which to choose.

Nice to see you here @thmadmacvzn! Sometimes non compatible Android devices may meet all the requirements by the system allowing them to sync intermittently even when they are not listed. But, since it's not fully supported and tested by our development team this connectivity may not always be successful. This may be the reason why you are having so much trouble with yours.
In the meantime, you can check the link at a later date to see if device support has been added. Also, request our developers to add your device to the Supported devices list by participating in our Feature Suggestions board. There you can create your suggestion or upvote for a similar. The suggestions with more votes are taken into consideration for new updates or product development.
Catch you later! 😉

As for free swaps, Fitbit gives a money back 45 day satisfaction if you purchase it from them.
Yes Fitbit employees do use their own products, and many people have the S with no problems syncing. Notifacations seem to be a problem for some if them. I'm sure Fitbit is working on making this phone compatible, but like most Android phones the app needs to be customized for each model or sometimes what version will work with a company.
Personally for the last 8 months my worst problems have been fixed with a phone restart, this however is no bug deal because all Android phones need to be restarted at least once a week.
Best AnswerThe Samsung Gear is a pretty sleek and effective smart watch. If you're an avid runner or swimmer, I hear great things about Garmin.
I only use mine to time intervals, the Gear is perfect for that.
Best AnswerDoes anyone know what the notification and calling setting will start working on the Samsung 8+?
I just had the most frustrating conversation with the fine people at Fitbit customer support and I feel the same way you. I am quickly understanding why that are slipping in the marketplace for fitness trackers
Yeh, throw it in the bin and get a Garmin. The Samsung S8 is not supported.
I feel your frustration. And TBH I've now jumped the Fitbit ship and boarded the Samsung Gear 3, very nice watch and the tracker is great. Only used a few times but so far I'm well impressed.
Do yourself a favour and ditch the Bit.
Apparently our Samsung S8's are not compatible yet.... Which is trash. If you check the list of compatible devices no where on there is an 8 or 8+.

Best AnswerI have just about got mine working. For me and I have the standard S8, the notifications seem to stop when I pair with bluetooth classic for music. Once I unpair, I seem to start getting them. Not all of them however, but the majority. I also had to delete the blaze from the fitbit app and set it all up from scratch, and it was several hours before I got notifications.
This hasnt resolved the issue with battery drain though, that sadly requires me to charge almost daily.
My notifications are now working pretty much all the time (I probably just jinxed myself lol) but the battery drain is horrible. I have to charge almost daily as well.
