Just got the S8+ yesterday, but my Blaze no longer receives notifications from my device. I've reset the Blaze, removed it from my account, gone through setup, restarted the phone and Blaze, uninstalled the app, and every other troubleshooting recommendation on the forums. All permissions are granted. No luck. Everything else syncs. Is this just a compatibility issue?

Hey all....I need help with my fitbit blaze and syncing with my S8. I see that the S8 has been added as a compatible device however I still can't get notifications on my blaze. I have done many things suggested in this forum and online. Restart the phone, the app, uninstall the app, the device, reinstall etc. etc. And nothing has worked. This is my third blaze after my previous batteries were draining within a day of using it, and that's with all the extra features disabled (i.e. quick view, always sync - which I don't know why they have if they don't have a battery that can sustain these features). Now after that issue to have seemingly been solved I can't seem to get any notifications. This was one main reason for purchasing the device...well a good feature that I was hoping for. Now it seems I have accepted that I can't get these notifications feature as it just doesn't seem to want to work, but as I sit here thinking "why did I spend this money for something that I can only use some features"...what a waste. My husband has the S6 and the Blaze and has no issues receiving his notifications on his arm..which bugs me cause I can't...GRRRRRR.
Also ----I saw a post that indicated that the Blaze (Classic) is for music syncing only..is this correct?
Anyway, if anyone has new insight into this problem...i would appreciate the help. I am also considering switching completely to something that is more reliable if Fitbit can't get their devices to work properly.
Sad FitBit user...

Is this hopeless? My blaze was working fine on my galaxy s6 and now with the s8, I don't get notifications and gps sync won't work...so the watch is almost useless now. It also seems to be causing stutter when listening to music over bluetooth (unlinking fit bit solves this). Is fit bit still aware that there is an issue even though this is listed as approved? Seems pretty widespread.

I know the button says solved, but I never did get an answer to my question and, although I didn't know I opted to receive ALL of these notifications - just thought I'd receive an answer to my question, it appears that although a FB rep said these now work with the S8/S8+, it is quite apparent that it is totally untrue. If some features ARE working, and some AREN'T, then apparently IT IS NOT WORKING and no rep should ever have reported that it was. These gadgets are pricey and if ALL features do NOT work, then fitbit reps should not be reporting that they now do.
My original question, still "unsolved" was if indeed they are working with the S8+, which ones are working? And I DO mean working properly, not just half way. Thanks.

Occasionally my charge 2 will sync steps, it always takes 10-20 manual attempts and even when i get it to work, the sleep feature doesnt work. 😞 Pretty frustrating considering the phone has been out for months now. Any tips would be appreciated.
Charge 2 worked fine w my old iphone.

Last week the Galaxy S8 was added to the aproved list. Yez it was extensively tested, troubleshoot and aproved, but has been found for some to still have some bugs to work out.

Is there a know issue with battery drain? With my previous phone (Google Pixel), my Blaze battery would last 4-6 days. Now, with my S8+, I get about a day and a half. Everything seems to be working, but the rapid battery drain is a huge pain!

Frustrating as I have read posts of others with S8+ that have it working fine.

I'm also getting this a lot now since I got the S8+. Fitbit... please work on this bug. I wouldn't be surprised if this is related to the no text or calls now. Never got this with my S6

Flex 2 seems to be working fine with the s8+. I cannot run but step counting and heavy workout seem to have no issues.

I'm getting notifications, but my data won't sync and the battery in my Blaze is only lasting a day.
Edit: Haaaaang on a minute, I think I've fixed it! After giving up over a week ago, thought I'd have another bash....
Everything, including sync and notifications appear to now be working!

Done the above repeatedly with my charge 2. It works for a few hours, then gets broken again. I get a 'tracker not found' error. Restarting my charge 2 seemed to help yesterday, but not today.
Fitbit is actually awesome and sending me a new tracker, but I'm starting to think that the issue is with my phone, not the tracker...

- Removed tracker from my account
- Uninstalled Fitbit App
- Switched off phone (not just restart, but switched off)
- Switched off Blaze (as above)
- Switched phone back on
- Reinstalled Fitbit App
- Switched on Blaze
- Went through the process of linking Blaze to my account
- Gave it a few minutes to sync
Everything, including sync and notifications appear to now be working!
It's been over 24 hours now, still working, and my battery level on the Blaze is still showing similar to yesterday. I think I may have licked it!
