Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Compatibility

Just got the S8+ yesterday, but my Blaze no longer receives notifications from my device. I've reset the Blaze, removed it from my account, gone through setup, restarted the phone and Blaze, uninstalled the app, and every other troubleshooting recommendation on the forums. All permissions are granted. No luck. Everything else syncs. Is this just a compatibility issue?

I have Verizon for my carrier.  I am not saying this worked because I don't exactly know why or how it started working but....the last thing I did was searched for my blaze from the bluetooth (I know that is not how it is suppose to be done)......it showed up at that time as available.  (My blaze classic was already in the paired section).  I didn't try to pair the blaze at that point and just went to the app and added the blaze tracker again......  The next morning my notifications, phone calls, calendar were coming in and when I checked under the bluetooth settings the blaze was under the paired section.  I just thought I would through this out there........something worked I just don't know what for sure.

Delvy1 - did you recently install the security update for your S8 that came out about a week ago? I've had the S8+ since it came out and have had intermittent issues with the notifications but when I force close the app and then send a test notification it would start working again. Annoy as heck if you ask me and unreliable. I used to have a different band and NEVER had issues with the notifications stopping. 😞 And you are correct that you will have both the Blaze (Classic) and the Blaze show up under your BT paired devices. The Blaze (Classic) is for the music control but it appears that the Blaze must be paired (and not just show up under available devices) in order for notifications to work. I can currently see "Blaze" under my available devices but every time I try to pair it manually it says "Pairing rejected by Blaze" which makes sense because I'm pretty sure it'll show up under the paired BT devices when it works properly, on it's own, without me manually pairing it. At least that's how I recall it all happening when it worked. It took a few hours but eventually Blaze showed up as Paired and then notifications started working. However, this time around, it's been days and it's not working. I'm starting to wonder if the security update Verizon pushed out screwed something up but it just doesn't make sense. 😞 Very frustrated right now...

I have only had the phone for one week and it updated initially.  Also, I believe a couple days after that there was a couple of samsung apps that updated.  So far so good, but it was very frustrating initially.  Hope yours starts working again and that they come up with a real solution sooner than later.

I believe I have gone thru all of the troubleshooting with my new BLAZE and my Samsung Galaxy S8 in order to get call and text notifications without success.  Is this just something that I will never get?  Very disappointed and sad...major reason why I bought the BLAZE.  Any help would be great;y appreciated.

Hey i just got the new galaxy  s8+ last week. I bought a fitbit blaze today and I can't receive notifications on the fitbit.  It will sync up with the phone, but won't let me receive pho e calls or messages on it.. I seen on here where others have had the same problem.  Is the phone still not compatible with the fitbit?? When is fitbit and samsung going to resolve this issue?

Same here, I have tried everything for days. Every trick and tip. They marked it as resolved but it is definitely not. I am selling my Fitbit today for a Garmin 😞  I'm tired of having to switch phones to get wearables to work. I'm sure if we're being honest, it's something to do with Samsung and how they break everything so that only their device is compatible (Gear devices).  Even my $4k hearing aides only work with apple. 😕

I would agree with you if all Samsung phones had the same issue but it appears to be with the Galaxy 8 which is using the most recent version of bluethooth which makes me think that it's actually a bluethooth version issue.

I bought the blaze yesterday and I too have a s8+.  I bought because a co worker also had one and hers worked fine until today. It all the sudden just stopped working. My syncs with my phone and records everything it's suppose to but it doesn't provide notifications (text, mail etc.)  I've tried everything. I've been to numerous forums. For 200 dollars I shouldn't be having this problem. There's no reason for it.  My company I work for provides perks for having a fitbit and I decided to partake but what sold me was being able to receive notifications on my wrist instead of checking my phone every time it vibrates. The issue shouldn't be that difficult to fix. The s8 has been out since April. Its a perfect match for me so please provide a update to correct the problem.
