Sleep tracker update is terrible

The latest update to the sleep tracker is terrible. I used to be able to really look at my different levels of sleep and gain useful information.  This new graph is cluttered and confusing and practically useless to me. The sleep tracker was my favorite feature before. Please bring it back the way it was.

@Nawtykitty Did you see Fitbit responded to that article today with this?

UPDATE, 19 August: A Google spokesperson reached out to provide TechRadar with the following statement:

"We are very committed to Fitbit, and even more importantly to the customers that use and depend on those products and technology. It's also worth noting that many of the health and fitness features we launched in Pixel Watch 3 were because of Fitbit's innovation and ground-breaking fitness advancements. In addition, we just launched Fitbit Ace LTE, and you’ll continue to see new products and innovation from Fitbit."

The most important part of my use of my Fitbit Sense was the sleep app. The
prior ability to analyse the sleep pattern was helpful to both my regular
use and my intermittent reviews with my doctor.

both my doctor and I agree the new Sleep app portion of the app is now
worthless, hence why she suggested that I move to the Oura watch, as it
actually does a far better job of providing sleep data.

It is apparent that Google is attempting to kill of the Fitbit line of
watches, as they are no longer supporting them.

@MarkMM

That's a laugh. They don't give a hoot about their customers. If they did, they would give us what we want. Instead, they ignore us and delete half of our comments (at least). This will probably get removed too.

Agree but is not going back so it is what it is...

the posts are not forwarded to customer support OR developers (and
management only cares about their own personal (and selfish) opinions about
how great their ideas are ... NOT!!!)

Agree! I just updated, as I don’t usually update apps too much and was shocked at how horrible it was.

perhaps ..
As a possible way to get visibility to the level of concern related to the
horrible nature of the "new" sleep app .. anyone seeing this (or ANY of the
posts) .. needs to deluge ( inundate ) these forums with their feelings.

The problem with this problem is all of us have other jobs. We can't sit on
chat session after chat session hoping someone at Google will say "wow, I
guess this IS a problem. maybe we SHOULD take action" (but I believe even
this would have no effect, as someone would have to admit they made a
horrible mistake)

Ageee 100%. I can’t see the times that I was in each stage of sleep.

Im so sad. I’ve been a Fitbit user for at least 10 years. I’ve loved the sleep tracking and automatic exercise tracking and long battery life. Why change to such a terrible sleep tracking that does not work? Please please fix this!

Yes! The sleep tracker was also my primary buying motivation. I would think Fitbit folks would have a clue about SLEEP issues in particular, since it’s a highly sensitive area for people. This new interface is jarring, confusing to look at, and makes it very difficult to compare stats over a period of time. If things don’t change I will reconsider Fitbit.
