@jefferdj wrote:Thanks but now I'm really confused. My Honor 9 Lite says it's on 9.1.0. Surely 3.37 was years ago?
That is probably the version of the Android OS on your phone. References to 3.37 in this thread are referring to the version of the Fitbit app, not your operating system.

It's hard to see who is responding to whom, so I don't know if these are in response to me saying what phone I had or not. Some people were asking what kind of phone fitbit was on, so I listed Android 9 on Samsung J3. To clarify, I've got the 3.37 version of the fitbit app.

"3.37" refers to the version number of the app, not the version of Android on which it's running. The header for this thread is confusing. When I first saw it, I thought, "Are they really supporting a 10-year-old version of Android?" (Frankly, I'm thankful that they're at least trying to support Android Version 7, which is 5 years old.)

If you're successful and it works, please share how you accomplish it.

I did not try any of the usual trouble shooting advice; mine was still at the "could not sync" stage, then I did this:
I uninstalled Fitbit app version 3.37.
Then I installed Fitbit app v 3.36 and UNCHECKED enable auto-updates.
Then EVERYTHING SYNC'ED FINE.
(I then proceeded to install 3.36.1 - last known working version - and everything is still syncing fine.
We went through the normal troubleshooting with my wife's last night (removed Charge 4 and tried to reinstall, with no luck)
I'm going to uninstall 3.37 and re-install 3.36.1 (as above) when I get home tonight, and see if she can re-add her Charge 4 and sync.

I seem to be running into this problem as well, although my app is showing the version as 3.4.2. My LG G6 had to go into the shop to replace the battery, and the alcohol they used seeped to the screen and ruined it. So I'm on my previous Moto X while waiting for a new screen to arrive (grrr). The Moto X synced once, and then stopped. I deleted my Inspire HR, and cannot re-add it to the app. It can see the device, but will not pair via Bluetooth. Bluetooth is on, and appears to work for other devices. Hopefully I can get it to work with my Moto X, as my G6 won't be back until sometime next week.
Lacking that: Does anyone know if there is a Windows 10 program that can sync and at least get the data that we can use as a workaround?

Is there a timeframe on the fix please? My charge 4 is less than 1 month old. This is not a great start! Are other Fitbit similarly affected?

My Fitbit hasn't been able to sync for three days, with Android version 8.1.0. You mention above that you're aware of a syncing issue with Android 3.37, what about Android 8.1.0? It's very frustrating to pay for a product that doesn't work. Specific steps to remedy the situation, or a more specific ETA than "real soon" would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@rd400guycan you explain how to access 3.36? All I see is the ability to uninstall & reinstall what's sitting in the Play Store.

So I just tried something and it worked I don't know if it's going to keep working or glitch out again but it's working right now.
What I did was I went to the app and forced stopped it and cleared the cache.
It even fixed the time!! try it and let me know please.

My charge 4, Christmas gift, has not synced with my android phone since Monday night.
I have tried every trouble shouting command iv been given . Had 3 live chats with the fitbit help staff, nothing gas worked.
Very disappointing product and can the help staff stop saying "can we help you with anything else here today " when they are unable to help you with the issue they were contacted with.
This has been a hugh problem with a fitbit product since Monday night , not our phones.

In the meantime, is it possible to undo whatever occurred at Fitbit yesterday besides sending out the app/firmware update?
My Sense stopped syncing after switching watch faces yesterday afternoon so force-closed the app, rebooted, and eventually reinstalled to restore the prior face, receiving the update to Fitbit 3.37 in the process; and although it successfully sync'd during the setup, has not since (nor forwarded notifications/etc).
Just confirmed the wife's Sense also stopped synching yesterday afternoon and has NOT done the firmware update yet.
