Update 2/1/2021: This issue was resolved with the release of android app version 3.37.1. We appreciate your reports and patience as we worked on a resolution.


 

Update 1/29/2021: We've released Android app version 3.37.1 to address syncing issues. Please update your device if you are experiencing issues syncing. Thanks again for your patience as we worked to resolve this issue.

My device hadn't worked for 4 days. Thanks to the advice from people on here I have now downloaded the new version of the app from playstore and it works. Connected, paired, synced in a few minutes. Hoping it continues to work. Disappointed with fitbit for the issue and for not telling us that the new version is now available. Many thanks to those on here who posted about the new 3.37.1 version.

The new version 3.37.1 is working great for me. 🙂

 

If people are not seeing the new version in the Google Play store yet, then it is probably a staged rollout.  This means only a few people get the update at first, and more people will get it with time.  Just keep checking, and you'll get it soon. 

 

If you have trouble with the new version, try the basics.  Restart the phone, and restart the device.  Hopefully that will take care of it.

Version 3.37.1 isn't available for me yet but I'm so happy to hear others are getting theirs fixed! The lack of communication on this issue has been so frustrating.

So annoying. Managed to sync my versa yesterday after numerous restarts, turning Bluetooth on and off. Eventually unpaired Versa and after many attempts managed to pair it again. The it synced. Unfortunately not syncing again  today. Not happy!!!

Yeah I got it because people in my Dysautonomia/pots/long haulers group said it was a good one to get for this condition. I'm finally having symptoms again. It's an imperative part of developing a care plan so I can avoid being bedridden for another 3 years. I'm really stressed at the thought of losing my information.

I uninstalled the app and restarted my phone and it's still not working

Dear Fitbit.

Got a fitbit versa 3 at Xmas and have been relatively happy as a user.

However, Wed 27th Jan versa 3 stopped syncing. 

Have tried everything and losing the will to live.

Have noticed this thread about app version 3.37. WHEN IS THIS GOING TO BE FIXED.

@karenh9635The same exact thing happened to me. I couldn't sync so tried unpairing, then I couldn't pair again so tried resetting the watch (losing my data in the process 😭). Took forever to get through the set-up process and even longer to pair the device. I finally managed to get it all connected and synced once at two in the morning, only for it to stop working again immediately after, lol. I just gave up at that point and am now waiting for the app to be patched.

Well fitbit I have to say terrible customer service so far. Alot of pissed off people that we cannot sync our Fitbit with our phone.

LETS HOPE YOU ARE READY TO GIVE FULL REFUNDS FOR A RUBBISH PRODUCT IF THIS IS NOT FIXED VERY SOON.

The new 3.37.1 version is being deployed now, and it works for me. 

 

Again, if some people can't see the new 3.37.1 version yet, then that means this is a staged rollout.  It will be made available to more and more people, in stages.  If you can't see it in the Google Play store yet, then you will see it soon.

 

I assume moderators don't want post that the new release is available until it is available for everyone.  

 

Version 3.37.1 works for me.  If you have trouble, restart the phone and the device.  This is commonly needed after an update, and should always be the first troubleshooting steps.

 

No one should still be taking drastic measures with the old version, version 3.37.  I wouldn't even bother trying to troubleshoot the old version at all at this point.

What are the timescales for a fix? Telling my phone is no longer compatable is not an acceptable answer....

Tried all the trouble shooting and now my Fitbit charge 4 won't work at all. Just got a message on screen to say download/update the app. Done this a few times now but fitbit will not work or change screen!
