Remember, Fitbit will not answer questions here. If you need their assistance, you should contact support.
If you are still having trouble, the first step is to make sure you are on version 3.37.1. If you are not, you need to update to the new version.
For the people having issues with version 3.37.1, I think the problem is probably not related to the issue with version 3.37. I think it's very likely related to the troubleshooting steps people took to try to resolve the issue with version 3.37.
Remember, most people at a minimum uninstalled and reinstalled the app. That means they now need to make sure it has the correct permissions, and the phone is allowing the app to run in the background (instead of putting it to sleep to optimize battery life).
I recommend you try the standard troubleshooting for syncing. However, I would try to avoid removing devices from your account (step 10) if at all possible. The rest of these steps are mostly harmless, so they are worth a try, even if they don't work. If you need assistance with these steps, this is something support can assist with.
I also recommend this article about why the app needs permission to location services.
If it syncs at first, but then later stops syncing, then this to me indicates that the phone may be optimizing battery life by not allowing the app to run in the background. Please check out this article, in particular the first section "Why does the Fitbit app need to run in the background on my Android phone? "
If some of the data syncs, but not certain data (e.g. calendar), that to me suggests that the Fitbit app does not have the necessary permissions (to your calendar, etc.). Again, I recommend this article, in particular the section "Why do I receive access requests from the Fitbit app on my Android phone? "
I know that because I had uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I had to set up notifications again on my device.
I hope this information is helpful. I know it's frustrating. I hope everyone gets it working again. 🙂

I downloaded the app again and it's still not syncing. It say my fitbit app is updated.

@CJLarkin Thank you for being helpful. I thought I had done that but maybe I am missing something. My app has permissions for Calendar, Location and Phone. Others that should be selected to get weather and calendar to sync? It says has not synced in three days (back when this started).

I do not know for sure that this is the issue you are having, but the fact that it is syncing some data, but not all data, indicates that permissions are a probable cause. It's worth investigating, at least.
On your phone (not in the Fitbit app), go to Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions, and then check the permissions if they are not checked, for whatever features you need. Make sure you check calendar, if you want that data to sync.
Alternatively, what I did was set up notifications within the Fitbit app for my device, and when I did that it prompted me to grant those permissions. I had to do this step because I had uninstalled the app for troubleshooting (when Fitbit was still denying there was an issue with 3.37). It does not save the notification settings when you uninstall the app.
I'm using an Ionic, and I'm not really familiar with other (newer) devices. Calendar data is a notification, at least on my device. I don't know about weather; that may be on your clock face?
Try this article for info on setting up notifications. And definitely make sure it isn't putting the app to sleep; it will never sync if it's sleeping. 🙂

Hi there,
I re-installed the app today, 3.37.1, and tried to sync my Charge4 but still no luck. Is there something else that is needed?

The new update fixed my syncing problem but now I think there's something wrong with my heart rate monitor. Did a long, hard workout today with a ton of running and sprinting and yet according to my Fitbit, I never reached cardio zone. I usually spend half my workouts in cardio zone and today's workout was significantly more intense that usual so something is definitely wrong there. I hope this is fixable. The heart rate monitor is part of the reason I purchased my Fitbit last August. Is anyone else having this problem since the update?

Same here, Charge 4 cannot be added to the FitBit app- it stops when synchronising. Newest, freshly installed Fitbit app version; rebooted Charge4 and rebooted phone (Moto G5 plus, all updates installed).

I Wish I had written in earlier. Mine hasn't synced since Monday at 6:50 p.m. and I just tried to fix it myself. It won't happen again I will be writing in immediately. Thank you so much for the solution. I woke up this morning and I had my sleep information back. Bravo Fitbit Bravo !

The issue is still not completely fixed! My versa lite will only stay synced for an hour or 2 then I have to set it up as a new device in order for it to work. I have updated and tried everything that was suggested to fix it but nothing fixes the problem.

As of Jan.30 Versa 2 will still not sync with Android Samsung phones.
Problem NOT fixed.
Fitbit App reinstalled and factory reset on watch. The phone will simply not recognize the watch.
The watch is 2 weeks old. You owe me $239.

Same here. Syncing worked fine yesterday, woke up to same issues. Garmin being delivered today, can't come soon enough. Fitbit, you lost a customer who has been loyal since 2016

Same here. I did the update yesterday and my phone still won't find my fitbit sense so I can't sync it. The update did not fix the problem!
