Syncing issues after update

I want to see how many of us are in this community. They can't lie to us all about this in a single thread of people still having this same issue.

At this point it's ridiculous.

I cannot get it to sync either. I unpaired it, did everything under the sun listed in the help articles and still zero steps. About to lose a contest! Help!

I’m with you on that. Any recommendations on which one to buy? My phone is
an android. I don’t want an iPhone or an Apple product.

It sync sometimes and then it doesn’t. So frustrating!

I agree.

It's terrible.

Mine too. Forget buying an new phone that's just not feasible or realistic. 😞

Wouldn't bother, I have a brand new Pixel 4XL and I'm still experiencing the sync issue, no amount of re-pairing, reinstalls or restarts fixes it.

Same.  Garmin for Xmas,  bin for the now useless fitbit!

Same problems as everyone else.  I feel like Fitbit has abandoned us. I loved by Charge 3, luckily Santa brought me a Fenix 6.  Goodbye Fitbit, you lack of responsiveness has lost this customer forever.

This "best answer" is complete and utter crap and I didn't vote for it.

After my Fitbit went black, I finally convinced them to send me a new one. It worked for a little over a month, now it's doing the same thing as before.

Buying myself a Samsung Active Watch 2 after the holidays. Later, Fitbit. Maybe I'll return if Google fixes things but that's a HUGE maybe.

Got mine swapped out under warranty, replacement devices works despite
Fitbit claiming my phone isn't supported..

For 2 months since the new app I have to reboot my phone and reset my charge3 daily to force it to sync. I got it last December and it has synced perfectly every day on this phone till the new app.

I was told the same thing even though it has worked on my phone till that dang updated app.

I have noticed something about the Sync issue on my Versa. When my phone is connected to 5G WiFi connection, it will not sync. When I go to the Setup WiFi section on the Fitbit app, it just spins, looking for WiFi. As soon as I switch my phone WiFi to 2G, it finds WiFi and sync's. If Fitbit requires WiFi to sync and since it can only use 2G, i figure that the phone must be on 2G all the time for it to work.  Seems to be ok on my mobile data while I'm away from home and work but my phone also has WiFi calling so maybe while at home and on 5G, Fitbit data is forced to try to sync on 5G and can't. Let me know what you think.

Fitbit tries to state that WiFi isn't required for sync but their own moderators in this forum have confirmed that it does need an Internet connection of some kind so if your phone is on 5G WiFi at the time, it's likely not going to sync I'm guessing. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Won-t-sync-without-wifi/td-p/1394896

So going forward I'm going to watch the WiFi to make sure it's on 2G and hopefully that will resolve it for me.

It definitely does seem to require WiFi -- when I am in the room farthest
from our box the more issues I have synching --- a bit better when in the
front room
I put app on my ipad and synch every few days - avoids my frustration with
it not doing a constant synch -- it is taking anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes
just to find the device - even with device literally sitting 5 inches from
the ipad --- All because I wanted to use a smartwatch that would work with
my Noom app

Definitely will look into this as, like you, have 2G and 5G -- at least may
be a resolution - my system is set for devices to bounce both to get the
one that works - explains why it can take up to 10 minutes to find the
device - probably tries on 5G then drops to 2G -- nice catch!!
