Fitbit Update: 1/29
Hey, everyone! I wanted to announce that Android app version: 2.65.1 has been fully released. If you haven't already, please update the app! This should help with syncing and also contains some improvements for those of you on Android 8.0 (Oreo).
If you are on Android 8.0 (Oreo), please check out this help article with more information about the Notifications you are receiving from the app. Please let me know if this changes anything for you all. Our team is always at work to improve the Fitbit experience on Android. Thanks for your cooperation!
Fitbit Update: 1/22
Hi, Android users! Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate.
If you continue to have difficulty syncing, please use an alternate device if available. I will provide any future updates here, so please stay tuned.
Fitbit Update: 1/19
Hi Android Users - Our team is aware that some Android users on Android 8.0 Oreo may be experiencing syncing issues since the Fitbit app 2.64 update.
Our Android Team is actively working on a fix and hope to have it resolved shortly. In the meantime, I recommend syncing to an alternative supported device or computer if possible. Thanks very much for your patience as our team works to resolve this as quickly as possible. More updates to come!

Thanks to the many customers on here who recommended reverting back to the previous version of the app - and shared where to find it. I have done this and no longer have a problem syncing my Alta HR. I've also turned off auto updates!
Best AnswerI've done the same but how do I turn off the auto updates!
Fingers crossed. The app worked great with the 2.63 version and if I can keep it from updating until Fitbit "fixes" the problem, I'd be happy. Geesh! Not impressed with all of the hassles Fitbit! Should have gone Garmin!
Someone posted a link to the old version of the app on here a few days ago and I used that. But I've just scrolled through all the messages and it appears not to be there anymore. I 'll try and find out more.
I think it stated that to me too - I took the risk as I thought it's only the version of the app I had before the dreaded update! I can only say that it's been fine for me.
Best AnswerReceived an ionic for christmas and it randomly syncs with my phone. many times it is just popping up a message that there seems to be a problem with Bluetooth. Restart bluetooth. i have no issues with bluetooth connectivity with other devices. Samsung S6 with android 7. Seems to sync ok to my ipad at least for a brief time i tried it. I've gone through all the troubleshooting for bluetooth on android, including ensuring it is not trying to sync to mutliple devices at once. I was about to return the ionic when i saw this post...but the post refers to a different version issue....so should i assume that my issue is the same regardless of the android version and will be addressed or return the ionic....

Best AnswerI have been having the same problem Tracker is paired with the phone but keeps saying "tracker not found" Advice from 02 today was follows
1. Completely power off your phone and leave it off Don't just restart your phone
2. Reset your tracker
3. Power you phone back up
4.Bring the Fitbit app back up and try syncing
I have just followed this procedure and it has synced (hoping it continues)
Hope this helps
Best AnswerIf you have a charge 2 plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL- certified USB wall charger.
Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You'll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see battery icon on your tracker's display. Your charge 2 will begin charging
Press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates this means the tracker has restarted.
Unplug your tracker from the charging cable. Power your phone back up Bring the Fitbit all back up and try syncing.
I was getting the "tracker not found" on my phone and I did this tonight on advice from an 02 Guru and it seems to have worked. I just hope it continues. Hope this helps
