Fitbit Update 07/27/16: Thanks to those who took the time to update to the latest version of the app and confirmed that you were able to log food from the "calories in/out tile" again.
For that reason, I am closing this thread and marking it as resolved. If you're still unable to log food from the "calories in/out" tile, make sure your app is updated to 2.30. If the issue persists on 2.30 or above, please create a new post and refer to this thread. Thank you!
Fitbit Update 07/26/16: I have some good news for everyone! With the latest release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.30 (released moments ago), you can once again log food from the "calories in/out" tile.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their reports and also for your patience as we worked to resolve this. If you could do me the favor of confirming that this has been resolved in 2.30 it would be awesome! Thanks again!
Fitbit Update 07/18/16: Users have reported that since the latest update to the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.29 they are unable to log food from the "calories in/out" tile.
I've reported this to our Product Specialist Team who is currently investigating this issue. When I hear an update from them, I will make sure to share it with everyone here.
In the meantime, in order to log food from the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.29 do the following:

I received the update this morning, however the app no longer allow for calorie intake to be logged. Any suggestions?

Best AnswerAgree with the above. I've always had the "calories left" tile hidden, because it's just a redundant and less useful version of the "calories in, calories out" tile...which is where I always entered food.
But now the tile that displays how many calories I've consumed can't be used to enter calories I've consumed? That makes absolutely no sense.

@mcm1 @GSaldiveri I recommend checking out this post on occasion as this is where I will be sharing updates with everyone when I get them. You can also see the workaround for logging food from the app that i've shared there too. Hope that helps you get up-to-speed.
