I recently had to change out my wifi router. It is the exact same type as my previous router that was connected to the scale but for some reason this scale will not connect to the new router. Oh it was a nightmare connecting the scale to the first wifi as well, but I am over it. !!!!! I have been trying for three days. Shame on you fitbit for putting out such subpar material. some one needs to tell me how to fit this setup or I want my money back. My scale is saying that it has detected the networks but my network does not appear to connect to it. I should have bought a Withings scale. uggh.

In order to implement my solution, you would have to login to the administration tools for your router. The user name and password are usually on the side of the router and/or your service provider could help you figure it out; however, if your iPhone won't connect to the scale, that is a different problem and I don't know how to solve that one. This is a really frustrating issue and it seems like Fitbit should take more interest in solving it.

Me too. My Aria can only connect to “B Only” Wi-Fi since 2018/11/18. Before that, the “B/G/N Mixed” worked perfectly. I really want to resolve this problem.

Do yourselves a favor, throw the Aria in the guest bathroom and get a Fitrack that downloads BETTER data to your phone. Problem solved. Fitbit is garbage.

In a nutshell, try first changing to a new WIFI network from your MAC when you change your router! I tried every which way on both my Apple phones over and over. I was able to change to the new network the FIRST TIME when I did it from my MAC. It is ridiculous how difficult it has been to arrive at this decision and FitBit should have just said YOU CAN NOT DO IT FROM YOUR MOBILE DEVICE!

Try connecting from a MAC. This worked for me the first time!

Replying to this because it is what worked for me also. My new router for some reason had it's 2.4GHz network/antenna/Radio on Wireless Mode of "g/n". The scale can not do this it appears. I tried about 20 times to get it to connect without success. I changed my Wireless Mode to b/g/n and it connected the first time. "B"s are you friend.

“Use a MACBOOK” is not a solution.

Not a valid solution. The original product supported all major operating systems and is technically not even coupled to an OS - as it is configured over wireless network technologies.

I have moved and changed WiFi, I get the set up process to all the way through to the point where the phone or laptop (which I have tried with both) NEXT TO THE router modem. my device finds other wifi networks but not mine. I go back to settings page and my network is showing with full bars. I am so frustrated ready to throw the scale out and look for a new brand. I have had this connected to a different network and I hae changed networks before I know how to do this. I have no clue how to fix and am so frustrated.

To everyone who is losing their collective minds over this ... I hope you have all got as mad at the wifi modem manufactures for not enabling old technologies on their new modems as you have at Fitbit.
That being said, Fitbit needs to have some better help on the setup pages. The Wifi mode is a super simple fix and should not have to be found by searching the lowest pits of the forums to find mentions of it.
