Firmware version 17.8.301.8 - Resolves a syncing issue with Apple iOS version 10.2

Workout mode missing? Not a problem! Just follow the steps for adding it back

 Hey everyone! Robot Happy

We're rolling out a new update for Blaze, release notes below:

  • In addition to call, text, and calendar event notifications, thirdpartyapps.jpgyou can receive notifications from email and other third-party apps on your tracker.Common emojis also appear. Keep in mind all notifications currently on your tracker will be deleted after the update.
  • You can receive reminders to move throughout the day.
  • Five new clock faces are available. Navigate to your device settings and check them out!

This release also resolves the following issue:

  • Some users reported that auto-brightness was too dim or delayed.

Important to note: A sync is required after a manual shutdown or a battery drain in order to show the correct time on Blaze. This is especially important for your activity tracked by Blaze because you'll want to make sure it's associated with the current date and time.

I received the update Tuesday night.  Luckily it only took the 10 minutes that it said it would.  I was so anxious that I kept touching the screen on my phone to make sure it didn't time out.

I really like the "Moment" and "Argyle" watch faces as what I've wanted all along was to see digital time and my step count.

I love the reminders to move!  I didn't know how it would work....yesterday I had only 1 hr where I didn't move and I received the vibration that told me I had to walk 111 more steps.  I wasn't expecting it to tell me how many more steps I needed so I was really impressed!  I got up from my desk at work and walked the steps.  It then vibrates again to tell you that you've reached your goal.

The only thing I've come across in the 2 days was I noticed when I was at the gym yesterday that the "workout" option was missing from my exercises.  I could clearly see it on my app so I tried rebooting my Blaze and resyncing.  When that didn't help I just reordered "workout" on my app and resynched.  Problem fixed.  Hope this helps someone else!

Thank you Fitbit for a great update!  I was more anxious for the watch faces but now I'm actually more thrilled about the reminder to move.

FYI, it took over 90 minutes to update mine. The progress bar advanced at a very slow rate and was not the same on the watch and the phone. Still, when it ended, everything worked fine!

Interestingly, the “steps in an hour” wasn't showing up until I disabled
and re-enabled the activity reminders. Glad it's working now as it's a neat
feature, along with the Moment watchface and the app notifications.
Altogether, a worthy update and a good upgrade over my previous bands.

It turned out that my Blaze got the firmware update. When I tried to change the watchface it read an internal error with FB website. Is anybody else facing the same problem just now?

Yes I too got the update on Tuesday night, I was very excited when I saw the update bar. It took about 3 tries for it to complete in about 20 mins. I think this was because I was using my mobile data and the connection wasn't great.

I only got the app notifications working yesterday because when my screen goes off if disables all notifications, so I had to make some adjustments.

But it all started working as it should this morning.

Try to update FitBit Connect. I did not have a red flag but when I updated FB Connect to v. 2.0.1.6742 it was updating for 19 minutes and then I had the firmware updated. It worked for me.

"how did you know the update was available for you?"

There was no update in my Settings and no red flag but FB Connect did the update firmware.

@scoob1963 You will have to go in and re-add the workout shourtcut. What I did was move it to number 1, synched, and then moved it to where I wanted it. Don't know why it is doing that, but all is well now.

I got the upgrade.   I had to update my connect app to see it.  You need to resync each time the clock face is changed.

After the update I can see the distance covered in meters on the main screen. I'd rather see the amount of steps instead. How shall I do it?
