ISSUE: Can't sync or pair Blaze with an iOS device
BLAZE FIRMWARE VERSIONS AFFECTED: (8.301.7) & (8.200.3)
iOS VERSIONS AFFECTED: 10.2.x
*** FIXED IN BLAZE FIRMWARE VERSION (8.301.8) ***
Still having trouble? Can't update or sync?
Read the difference between unbonding and unpairing first:
Unbonding - going into the bluetooth settings of your iPhone or iPad, selecting the Blaze, then choosing "Forget This Device".
Unpairing - going into the Fitbit app, selecting the Blaze, then choosing "Remove This Blaze".
*** DO NOT DO THIS TO TROUBLESHOOT THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE ***
Now that you've read that, try unbonding BEFORE trying to update your Blaze firmware (see screenshots below):
Okay, I've unbonded. Now what?
Try syncing your Blaze, then try to update the firmware.
Still can't sync or update? Here are some suggestions:

This is still not working for me. I have completed the steps to "forget" the device. I have even reset the FitBit Blaze and my phone. I restart the FitBit App and choose to update the tracker. The process starts and says "Loading". The progress bar gets about halfway and then just stops and goes back to the tracker screen.
Update: I turned my Wi-Fi off and restarted the whole update process and it is now working.
Best AnswerThanks @Spidermad this worked plus you have to stay in the app and don't press anything or it'll fail!!!!!!!
Well I'm annoyed. Months of hitting the targets every day, this issue comes along which takes hours to fix and then I lose nearly 40000 steps that haven't been synced in the last 2 days
15+ hours later and the app says my battery is full, my watch shows maybe 75-80% left. So i believe my battery brain is solved. Tomorrow morning will be the test to see how much battery life is left after 24 hours.
Best AnswerWhy won't my blaze sync up? The new update is just sitting there, every time I hit update it sits and loads for a minute and then stops. My tracker is right next to me and is fully charged.
Best Answerthe update still dose not work. I got the update to download and update my blaze. I also went to the notifications and turned them back on and they still won't work. This needs to be fixed.
My notifications will work on minute and then the other minute it will say not connected and the notifications. I did the update and reset the notifications. Please fix this.
Best AnswerHi, I am unable to load the update to resolve the syncing issue with the latest iOS update. It progresses to 50% and then fails. I have tried powering off and back on, disconnecting from Bluetooth but nothing has worked. Thanks
Best AnswerUpdated my phone to iOS 10.2 - blaze tracker wants to update but operation fails- has difficulties syncing too doesn't recognise exercise despite setting watch does t appear on app!!
Best AnswerIve got the same issue myself. I cant sync and I can't apply the update
Best AnswerI warn you that this deleted 2 days of steps but got it working. I went to Bluetooth and forgot the device. Went into the fitbit app and Removed the blaze in there. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. And it found the fitbit first time of asking. It then asked if I wanted to update and now it is okay. A royal pain in the **ahem** but it worked for me.
