ISSUE: Can't sync or pair Blaze with an iOS device
BLAZE FIRMWARE VERSIONS AFFECTED: (8.301.7) & (8.200.3)
iOS VERSIONS AFFECTED: 10.2.x
*** FIXED IN BLAZE FIRMWARE VERSION (8.301.8) ***
Still having trouble? Can't update or sync?
Read the difference between unbonding and unpairing first:
Unbonding - going into the bluetooth settings of your iPhone or iPad, selecting the Blaze, then choosing "Forget This Device".
Unpairing - going into the Fitbit app, selecting the Blaze, then choosing "Remove This Blaze".
*** DO NOT DO THIS TO TROUBLESHOOT THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE ***
Now that you've read that, try unbonding BEFORE trying to update your Blaze firmware (see screenshots below):
Okay, I've unbonded. Now what?
Try syncing your Blaze, then try to update the firmware.

I removed my device before finding this thread, and am now having difficulty adding it back. Have since followed the steps to "forget" this device from my phone's bluetooth settings; however am still not able to add the device. Turning off/back on my bluetooth is not working either, as it doesn't even see the Fitbit Blaze... any other tips would be helpful.
Thanks in advance
Best Answerthis is awful
my phone wont even detect the fitbit now
£160 down the pan for me here. Come on fitbit.... please provide assistance
Best AnswerAgreed. A conspiracy theorist would wonder if Apple did something to kill the competition... none of the fixes or the update work more than once. At this point it's just a watch and I don't really need a watch
Best AnswerMine stopped synching since the iOS update. I then got the app telling me to update it, but it wouldn't update. So, I went to Bluetooth and forgot the device. I deleted the app from my phone, went to the app store and downloaded it again. I went online and changed my password (only because I forgot it). I then opened the app, logged in, and it started synching. Everything from December 13 to today (24th) was now in the app. I then tried updating the app and it worked this time. PITA!!!

Best AnswerThanks so much, you helped me solve my problem! I just went to my settings and forget my device, turned my Bluetooth off and back on,went back to my Fitbit app, and it worked.
Best AnswerMy blaze is still not syncing with my iPhone and the day is December 9th and the time is 3:37pm, this IS super annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Best AnswerI have tried everything listed. I have deleted the app, restarted the blaze and ran updates. It will sync with my iPad running 10.2 but not my iPhone 7 running the same 10.2. The Bluetooth on my phone will not find it. How do I get the phone to recognize it?
Best AnswerIt only works with one Bluetooth connection. Turn off your iPad Bluetooth and I bet it will sync with your iPhone.
Best AnswerUnpair your Fitbit from phone. Turn off your Bluetooth. Close your Fitbit app. Restart your Fitbit by pressing the left button and lower right button together; you should see a "You're all caught up with your notifications" message. Turn your Bluetooth back on. Go directly to the app and it should try to sync automatically (still). It worked for me the second time it tried to sync, and now it works for me.
Best AnswerHello there,
I have followed EVERYTHING in this thread and my Blaze is still not working! I removed the Blaze from my phone completely, reset my phone, reset the device and it still is NOT working at all. My iPhone won't even find the Blaze to even reinstall the Blaze on my iPhone app.
Is there a solution for this? Or do I need to completely just give up?
Best Answer@Jmelee1221 I'm not sure what your trying to do? Is the tracker setup? It won't need to be setup again,.
@AIhrig what is it that made your sync work?
Best AnswerThe tracker won't set back up. On the Blaze screen to set up as a brand new device it won't even find it. Like it goes to the screen that says "not working" the tracker can't even be found to set it up.

Best AnswerSo, I fund out the problem with mine was that I was paired with my iPad. I was trying to pair it with my phone. It will only pair with one device so turn off the Bluetooth on any other devices you use the app on.
